BEWARE

All gamers beware! Only4gamers is a scam! Believe me I've tried it. I was one of the dumb ones who took the plunge right away. After I read through what they had to offer i immediately said this sounds like the job for me! I was hooked. I needed cash fast and what better way to make it then making it in your own home playing the game you love! I tried it, I waited, and waited and waited some more. I joined about a 4 months ago, still no job. Lemme explain this site to you. Once you go on www.Only4gamers.comthe first thing before you can read anything about the program, you have to enter your name and your e-mail address. Seems like a simple task, until you actually enter it and they constantly send you emails. I literally got in total from 4 months over 50 emails from them, it pretty rediculous. Also on the front page you'll see it say right away you can make up to $90/hour. COME ON! Give me a break. But before i did research i actually belived that non-sence. After you give them your email and name and such you go in and at the top it tells you you'll make thousands of dollars a month! I got excited. But trust me, you'll never make that much a month. Real testers get paid about $30,000 a year and thats just beginners who have about 3 years experiance AND people who have about 6 years of experiance get about $50,000 a year.... So why would you get the same deal? If you want to ripped off then go right ahead and join. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, you have to PAY to use it!! $40 bucks?!?! You mine as well throw all 4 ten dollar bills into the street, just like pretty much did with Only4gamers.

Only4gamers is a scam and i just want to warn you so you dont end up in the same deal i was in.

Don't get me wrong, Video Gamer Testers are REAL. Just all major companies really only hire if your 18 years old and you must work at the companies office. You wont be able to work from home. I know im sad too but thats what ya gotta do.

Good luck!

Yes its a scam...a KNOWN scam...if you really think game tester make 100 bucks an hour...then i hope they take ALL your money.

If it looks too good to be true...it prbly is.

I know many people who asked for a return after nothing from only4gamers...and got NOTHING but the finger.

Haha in this day of age you shouldn't be asking your site if the website is legit but if it is not legit.

anyone who gives these sites a positive review are almost certainly in on the scam themselves. I would have probably signed up to this scam if i hadnt already learnt my lesson a while back. The fact that they dont even tell you what you are paying for is a clear sign that THIS IS A SCAM!

This review is really old. If you visit only4gamers.com now they've updated their site to top out at $30/hour, and they don't make any mentions at all about working from home. They specify that game testing is a competitive job.

I signed up and they actually did provide a lot of good info on becoming a game tester, as well as a job board of game testing gigs. You don't work for Only4Gamers, but they have a bunch of jobs listed to work for other companies.

Looks like they've cleaned up their act a bit.

Key Questions / Info  says:

I am not sure, Im searching about this a lot lately. A lot of people are saying that this is legit and lot are saying that this is fake.

Now saying that I should mention that I got a promotional

discount from them for signup. They are allowing me to go for 25$ instead of 40$. I can signup as its only 25$ and maybe they will return my money back if I don't like it withing 8 weeks. Plus I don't care if it pays 90$/hr, as long as it pays more than $10/hr, its good for me. I mean you'd be getting paid for playing games, it cannot get any better than that. As for getting paid $30,000+, they might be hired by multiple companies. There is no way in the world that a single company will pay you the same or more money than a tester in their own office. Because at that price companies want to take a full effort out of you. Think about it.

Anyways my main doubts are:

1) Is this a site that will tell you of all the company names that you can apply for and go to their site to apply for it, or is this a site that will get you the job from the company?

Because paying 25$ for information that I already have is crap.

I figure, not everyone has success on these sites. As you have to constantly apply for 20-30 jobs a day. Plus the beginner suffers the most as they don't have a game tested experience on them.

2) And say if you do get hired for a game test if this is legit. Do I have to relocate? That would really suck.

Currently I have not signed up yet. Maybe I'll give it a shot as its only 25$.

Will keep you guys informed. But will only sign-up once my 2 questions are answered from here or somewhere else.

Just wondering...could you make money showing people how 2 play the latest games...if you have them in your posession...and what would be deemed illegal in doing so?

HJWakelin  says:

It would be better if they offered the jobs via the actual/on behalf of the company so you can be a game tester, not tell you of companies that MIGHT hire you.

I'm considering paying but, I'm not sure if it's a scam..
