The Perfect Cup of Coffee
70
I am about to give you the secret to the perfect cup of coffee.
The absolute best cup of coffee in the world... nay, make that the universe. Wait, make that the cosmos! If there was a planet somewhere out there made entirely of coffee, with espresso lakes and latte streams, people made of different shades of coffee with coffee leaf hair and almond-shaped coffee bean eyes, experts on all things coffee with millions of years to perfect it, they would taste this coffee and go, "Whoa! Dis is da bomb!"
And I'm not exaggerating!

Of course, Juan Valdez would probably argue that his is better, but what does he know? He gets his coffee from a can!

To make this you'll need an espresso maker or a coffee press. I have both, but prefer the press, which I picked up at Bi-Mart for about six bucks.
You start with the coffee beans. You want to mix and grind them at the store so you get the same cup of coffee every morning, and it saves you the trouble of the daily grind - pun intended. The coffee bean mix is: equal amounts of two or three of the blackest beans available. Usually french or double french and espresso or double espresso. I'll sometimes experiment if there's something new there, but those are the two basics. To this mixture, add very small amounts of vanilla nut bean beans (not a typo) and hazelnut beans. Shake in the bag to mix. I grind this at the store because it's just easier, but you can certainly grind it at home, if you must. I grind on the espresso or Turkish setting or the most powdery setting on the store's grinder. It takes a little longer but it's worth it. The more powdery the grind, the more flavor you get.
You want to use one heaping coffee scoop (1/8 cup) of grounds. Later, you can adjust this to your individual taste, but try this first. Over the grounds, before brewing, sprinkle a little (about a teaspoon's worth) cardamom, all spice, cinnamon, nutmeg and just a little Indian garam masala (if you really like this you can save time and mix larger amounts of these five spices into an empty spice bottle). Then brew. For the coffee press, let it steep/brew about six minutes.
______________________________
NOTE: Another great appliance to have is an electric tea kettle. Mine (similar to the one pictured) was a Christmas gift from a cousin a couple of years ago - which I thank her for every morning. It brings about two large cups worth of water to a boil in less than 2 minutes!
______________________________
Sometimes, I put a little whipped cream (canned, not Cool Whip) into the cup before pouring in the coffee.
After pouring the coffee into your cup - and I use one of those over-sized jobbies - add one heaping teaspoon (the actual spoon, not the measurement) of brown sugar, stirring well to melt it, and International Delight Belgian White Chocolate Macadamia to taste.I don't like chocolate flavored coffee beans or creamers but - as many of you already know - white chocolate isn't actually chocolate. There's no such thing as "white chocolate." It's actually sugar, cocoa butter (with the taste and aroma removed) and milk. And I've heard it is sometimes flavored with vanilla ... Anyway, it's great in coffee!
And there you have it. The perfect cup of coffee! Strong and full-bodied, rich and creamy, spiced and sweet, but not too sweet, exploding with subtle flavors and aromas.
And, this brew holds up perfectly when poured over ice.
Note: Experimentation is encouraged. Nothing's written in stone ... well, there's that whole Ten Commandments thing, but has anyone actually ever SEEN those?

Funny. Just try it. I promise, you'll be hooked.
This sounds really good - I've been considering a coffee press for some time. I also like Turkish and spiced coffees. I will try it!
Good for you! Some other spices that are are good on coffees are, cinnamon (of course) apple pie spice, pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg and ginger. Know of any others?
Yes, yes, yes! The coffee press, french press, brazilian press, they're *all* good and make an excellent cup of coffee, awesome job, Constant Walker, you beat me to the next article I was going to write!
I like black or red pepper in coffee as well.
ya know...both caffeine & hot peppers increase metabolism, so by adding red pepper, you could really give yourself a morning metabolism jolt...something to think about...
CW! Sounds just great. I'm the one who likes to freshly grind my coffee beans, I only add hazelnut to my coffee with a pinch of salt. But so as not to dilute my iced coffee with ice, I freeze cold coffee in ice-cube trays then save them in a ziplock bag. I'm sipping an iced coffee right now... I also use either Demerara, or Turbinado sugar crystals. I'll try with cardamon next time.
regards Zsuzsy
Constant Walker,
Glad to hear that you are a coffee fan. Over the years I have become a coffee purist, avoiding all the flavored stuff in preference to pure coffee. My favorite in Estate Guatelemalan. Yes, my wife and I grind the beans each morning.
In reading the comments, I am reminded that a local coffee shop near here named Coffee Haven serves a coffee with chili peppers in it. It is excellent.
Oops! Sorry about that Nicole. Hey, you could do one on the history of coffee! I saw something about it on History Channel. Pretty interesting stuff.
Patty, that sounds interesting. I'm not a big pepper fan, but I'll probably try this just for curiosity's sake.
Boss, I'm safe. Don't do hot peppers.
Zsuzsy, that sounds good! Can you buy those sugars in a regular grocery store?
JD, when I first got into "real coffee" after being influenced by a true coffee-purist guitarist friend, I was drinking it that way: Very strong and black. But, I like to mix, experiment, spice, add, etc. There's so many options out there!
Thank you all for reading! I think most people like coffee in some form or other. Here in the Northwest it's a very big deal.
CW: Sounds like a lot of work to me, but it also sounds like it's worth it. Like yourself, I like the strong beans. My current fave is the Starbucks French roast, whole beans, ground at home (LOL), and brewed 1 scoop per cup of water. Works every time and all I add is 1/2 tsp. of real sugar. Thanks for the hub. Caffeine to ya!
Rob, thanks for reading. I know it sounds pretty involved, I realized that when I was typing it out, but I've got it down to such a routine - and I keep everything handy at my "coffee bar" - that I don't even think about it.
Mmm...I've never tried cardamom or allspice before. I usually stick to just cinnamon. And as for the marshmallow international delight...I've never seen that! Must have been really limited! I favor the vanilla cinnamon or the caramel vanilla one by carnation instead.
I think I'll plant myself by the dairy aisle and throw a tantrum to find out why I've never seen the marshmallow stuff!
I am also a coffee addict and only drink coffee from a press (We call it a Bodem). I mix Expresso, Mocca Java nd Wiener Mischung grounds in equal parts. It makes a really good coffee. A drop of Frangelico or Scotch is also good with coffee. A block of chocolate melting in the coffee is also not bad.
Informative hub. I think I wil make some coffee now!
YUM and I think you should stock up on the Mocha Delight stuff. YUMMMM Constant, do mo' of these!!! I love the varieties...vanilla bean is good in everything...this sounds so good.
I use cardamom in teas as well...very good for you. strong flavor tho -- some people have to develop a taste for it. but wow. it pops.
=) Nice hub.
Spryte, I'm still buying marshmallow mocha flavor at Safeway. I'm hoping that if enough people buy it, it will become a permanent flavor!
Sixty, Indeed! A shot of Southern Comfort is also killer! I've never coma across Wiener Mischung beans. Sounds good. Are they available her in the states?
Marisue, yes, it does. After I'd first starting using it, about 10 yrs ago, a woman I was seeing at the time told me "they never make coffee in Saudi Arabia without adding a little cardamom." She'd recently been...
Constant, like my coffe black, straight mocca java, stirred with a freshly split vanilla pod abnd left to stand for 2minutes, in a press. Great hub
I used to work at a couple coffee shops. One was super high end, the other not so much, but the experience at the nice one is what got me hooked on good coffee. I'm kind of a purist too (agreeing with JD) but I also have a sweet tooth, so I take my purist coffee and then add some half and half, cinnamon, raw sugar and whatever else tickles my fancy that day. Or I drink espresso, fresh and straight.
I love going to Trader Joes and getting their coffee samples while I shop. They always have really basic, great stuff to put in it. And it makes shopping so much easier =D
Rodney, that sounds very good! I'll be right over...
Yep Jonno, Trader Joe's is a pretty cool place. Some cousins gave me a bag of 100% Kona coffee a couple years ago for Christmas. I'd heard, mainly from a friend who was from there, that it was the shit. But, when I tasted it I was disappointed - maybe because of all the hype... but I think mine is much better.
CW: Oooh I found it at the local Safeway and I'm having a cup right now. You are right...it's good! I also picked up the white chocolate mudslide flavor to try...have you had that?
Anyway...I'll add my $ to yours and see if we can't make this flavor permanent.
Good for you, and thanks for letting me know. I always wonder when someone says "I'm gonna try that" if they really do. Thank you!
No, I haven't tried that flavor yet, but you can bet I will... ;-) Let me know what you think of it, OK?
I hope our combined $ work. It's such a good flavor. I'd hate to suddenly see it gone one day. I'm lifting my cup to you... actually, I'm not now 'cause I'm drinking a Hanson's pomegranite soda, but I will in the morning!
Bi-Mart? That's a new one on me... my only choice is World Market, which charges a whopping $20 $30 or more for their coffee press makers... I have broken a couple of those, when I pressed down too hard and had them slip explosively across the room, splashing scalding hot coffee everywhere, and terrifying the cat.
I also like to sometimes spice up the cup a bit. I use cinnamon, ginger, cloves and anise ... the anise is a frequent favorite. For a milky taste I may also add a dollop once or so of almond milk -- the unflavored, unsweetened kind -- to offset any acidity in the brew.
On rare days, I may also add some honey or my 'legal' sweetener choice lately -- some 'sugar free honey' that contains only maltose and no glucose or fructose as would normal honey. The body doesn't convert these sugars into fats, so they are not 'fattening' and believe me, once you've poured a nice tablespoonful or two of that delicious syrup into your coffee, you can't tell the difference from REAL honey. A side benefit for diabetics is that their blood sugar and A1C levels are not affected by maltose syrups.
Look for the maltose honey in your grocery store. Not too expensive, either!
Dude, ease up on the coffee press..
Ooh, please may I have a cup? This sounds EXCELLENT, CW! Thanks for sharing. Somehow I am not one bit surprised about your creativity and meticulousness that go into making a good cup of java...
Level1; also, anise is spice I haven't tried in coffee, yet. I'll have to pick some up. I do add a teaspoon full of honey sometimes, in place of brown sugar.
Ann; Thanks. It's kinda of a years-in-the-making development that started out with just espresso.
CW Wiener Mischung is a german coffee and you should be able to get at a german or speciality store.
OK. No German stores around here, that I know of, but plenty of specialty coffee stores.
Hi CW, I am drinking a cup your perfect-coffee concoction right now! Should provide plenty of energy for a long walk in the huge park that is right across the street from my condo building.
It's REALLY good! The only adjustment I made was using the brown sugar/Splenda mix that is sold now instead of straight brown sugar. I used the All Spice as that is what I had on hand, and just straight French roast with touches of hazlenut and vanilla beans.
Thank you for sharing!!!
p.s. About how much coffee do you use in ratio to water with your French press? Do you two two tablespoons per cup, as recommended? That just seems like A LOT to me.
Hi Ann. Really glad you liked it! Would I lie to you...? How did the Splenda taste. I shy away from artificial sweeteners because, well, they're artificial, and I don't know what's in them. I'm chemical paranoid. =-( But sometimes I use honey... and it's super good for you.
I have a little stainless steel coffee scoop. It's not as big as the plastic ones that come with canned coffee. I just put in one heaping scoop with enough water for an over-sized cup. You can put the water in your cup first, then heat just that much. After a few times you'll be able to tell when pouring it in the press.
I just saw a stainless steel coffee press and two matching over-sized cups (they look just like the press!) set, also at Bi-Mart, for about $10. I'm gonna pick one up.
Hi CW,
The first line in your comment above instantly made me think of Annie Lenox. Glad, though, that you would not lie to me! I feel much better now. ;-)
As far as the artifical sweetener, I agree with you that it is not ideal. I try to eat whole food and like honey, etc. but sometimes I just give in to the chemicals in diet sodas and the like. Can't remember why I bought the brown sugar/Splenda blend but it's decent.
What the heck is Bi-Mart? We do not have them in the Southeast. That is a STEAL on the set! Now you can serve guests a great cup of coffee, too.
It's the little things that excite us these days, right?
p.s. Much better than late nights at smoky bars. ;-)
Oops - forgot to thank you for the advice on amount of ground coffee to use. That's helpful, and it's cool you can easily make coffee for one with the press.
Ann. I'm a big Annie Lennox fan - have been since Eurythmics. Do you have Hansen's natural soda where you are? They used to make just nectars but expanded. Cool flavors, too: Pomegranite, mandarin orange, etc.
Bi-Mart is a membership discount store. Not the big warehouse like Costco or Wal-mart, but a good selection at good prices. One membership fee lasts a lifetime. I don't know what the Southeasterner version would be.
How right you are. It used to be the nightlife and smokey bars - as that was my livelihood, but now I'm content with a great cup of coffee, a Netflix movie, something good on TV, an RPG computer game, HubPages, etc.
Normal is good. Contentment... sigh!
Way too much trouble for a cup of coffee, so I think I'll stick with my plain old Joe, but it does sound good. Limited edition coffee mate flavors should be banned! Just when you get to like it, they take it off the market!
I actually have cardamom growing in my back yard, but it has never bloomed, so I can't get any seeds to grind yet. I've really been hitting it with fertilizer this year, trying to get some flowers.
CW,I am a big fan of Annie Lennox as well. I could talk bands FOR HOURS and want to do some hubs around music. Some of my all-time faves are Talking Heads (and David Byrne solo) -- I worship him, Kinks, Bowie, Beautiful South, the Smiths, Emmylou Harris, Mark Knopfler, the Cure, Wilco, etc. Could go on and on and on -- music has been my PASSION since a little girl.
As far as those sodas, I have not tried them but have seen them.
No Bi-Marts here. We have Costco, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Target and a few other places.
I was very good at the bar life and the music scene and lived it for years -- through college, grad school, and years while starting my career and then some.
You and I should share some movie recs. I am a HUGE fan of foreign films and have been since I could get my hands on them. Do Netflix as well, and am currently watching "Mad Men" on BluRay.
No more bars for me either for the most part. Seems like you and I have some things in common, other than our careers! You got to live the dream.
Dafla, ya it seems like a lot of bother, I guess, but I've been making it this way for so long, I could do it blind-folded in about 30 seconds.
Fresh cardomom?! Yummy!!!
Ann, are you a musician?
I love movies, too, but rarely watch foriegn, not that I don't like them - just too many American films to try to get through. You should see my Netflix queue! I watched "The Family Stone" last night, and found "Cutthroat Island" at a yard sale last week. If you haven't seen that one, you should: An excellent pirate movie made before the big Johnny Depp "Pirates" series... and BETTER!
Hi again CW,
No, I am not a musician, unless you count the 10 years I took piano lessons (age 7-17). In that case, I am definitely not a musician! ;-)
But, I have always been very passionate about bands and music and in fact spent all of my babysitting money at the local record store. Always! (It was a great store in Jackson, MS, called BeBop. The workers loved me, and would often comment on my taste in music -- and seemed surprised as I was a private school sailor-dressed wearing type of girl.)
What I meant by you and I having things in common is that we have both lived the bar life for years, have a passion for music and creative things, etc, and are now content with a slower life. We both probably have a gazillion cool stories. Yet, you got to live a dream -- as in, being a musician for a living.
I lived in Athens, GA for grad school, and knew a lot of the music crowd there (and this was in the early 90s).
As far as movies, some of my fave American films are Harold and Maude, Rushmore, Ghost World, True Romance, Waiting for Guffman, The Graduate, Barcelona (and Metropolitan), Vertigo, Splendor in the Grass, to name just a few. But, foreign has often been more along the lines of what I prefer. It seems with your love of simple things (these days at least) that you would enjoy the European films and culture.
Have not seen Cutthroat. Thanks for the rec. Have seen Family Stone and found it average. Would be interested to learn more about your taste in movies and music. Contact me through hubs (email) if you would like. (Feel like I have just written a book in the comments section)
Ann
During the American Civil War (that's the War Between the States or Late, Great Inconvenience to our Southron fans!) in the South coffee was a rarity, so chicory was used to replace or augment a coffee-like drink.
We used the French Press in our restaurant but people kept thinking they were free for the taking! Oh well, hopefully someone, somewhere, is enjoying a hot cup of great coffee with those pilfered presses!
To paraphrase a great pre-Rev War hero - Give me coffee or stay out of my way!
That's too funny. So that's where chicory coffee originated. Man, that stuff is awful!
Should have known it was a Southern thing... Just kidding! Couldn't resist...
Coffee.. I love it. I placed the link of this hub in my hub about coffee.. If you don't mind;)
Lazur. I certainly don't mind, and thank you very much.
You certainly provoked a lot of feeling with this hub! Well done. For the record, Pat likes her coffee strong with a dash of milk (no sugar). Tricia will settle for instant but with a generous slosh of milk.
Thanks you reading... glad you liked it. It really (not trying to be a smrat-ass) didn't think you could even buy instant coffee anymore. Buy that woman a coffee press, will you? That's just wrong! ;-)
PS: Check out the flavored creamers... you just might get hooked.
I need a coffee make! I was looking for one at mistyhorizon2003 hub about worst gifts to receive and a coffee maker was one of them which im dying to get my hands on (a good one) anyway..As a brit, i sure know how to make the purfect cup of tea, so i hope to be back here someday pretty soon to taste!
Thanks for reading, Compu. Depending on what kind you're looking for, you can probably find some really good deals on Amazon.com. But, I picked up my press (which I really like) at Bi-Mart for five dollars. It was such a good deal!
you won't believe the amount of coffee I consume on a daily basis! i just love it! I even prefer having it than alcohol when I out with friens - makes talks grounded and non-violent lol! My personal favourite - coffee with a dollop of soy! and of course, equal! :D
-Cris, that sounds awful to me (don't like soy and equal is artificial), but I can understand talks being more civil with coffee rather than alcohol. Thankfully I've rarely been in the violent-talk situation. I think it depends on the individual you're talking with.
I meant soy milk, sorry. Hope that makes a difference :D
Oh ya, I HAVE had soy milk. A cousin's wife is lactose intolerant so I got her some flavored soy milk while she was in town. It was actually pretty tasty!
Okay, so that's settled then. I think i'm getting a cup now. Coffee time!
-Cris, also try this; Put a spoonful of your favorite ice cream (something without nuts, chips, cookie dough, etc) in the cup before pouring your coffee and stir well. Delicious!
I have tried coffee with ice cream, but i put the ice cream in the coffee and not the other way around! Is there a difference in the resulting taste, texture, whatever?
I don't think so. I put it in first so it'll melt faster. Also, whipped cream, the same way.
There's a lot of imagination and creativity that can go into making a cup of coffee. One of the things I like about it...
Well there might be if you stir or not. Your way has (ice) cream settling at the bottom, while my way allows the (ice) cream to float - there must be a difference.
What's your favourite flavor for the ice cream?
I'm not a big ice cream eater (too fattening), but once in a while I'll pick up a pint. As it happens, I have two in my fridge right now: Some Haagen dazs frozen yogurt (honey & granola), and some Ben & Jerry's cinnamon bun ice cream. That one's VERY sweet, but was great in my coffee this morning!
I go where the coffee is. I'm the type that drinks instant coffee. lol Starbucks is better but I'm there mostly of the ambiance and the spirit of drinking coffee outside my home.
Have you heard of Kopi Luwak?
We don't have Ben & Jerry here. I guess I'll have to take your word for it. I prefer it simple, so vanilla's just fine. Or a teaspoon of honey :D
Sheena, instant coffee? I commend your bravery at making such a comment on a gourmet coffee hub. Bravo! No, I haven't heard of Kopi Luwak.
-Cris, my all-time fave is mint/chocolate chip.
Thank YOu for this hub CW!!!! I can't really drink dairy but do use the Non dairy Creamer. All this sounds so yummy and I have been using instant coffe only a full teaspoon per cup--uh mug! I have to try the cardomon and other spices in coffee. Cinnamon is good in Iced Tea and so is vanilla. I wonder what I will have in the moring with my doughnuts that I got today for breakfast!? Makes waking up in the morning something to look forward too.
It does add a little something special to morning time. Enjoy!
Dancing goats? Seriously. It's a coffee.
Ha-ha! Hi Teresa.
have you heard of banoffee?
I Love Coffee! I am always trying new things like cinnamon and other flavors. I will definitely try your recipe sounds delicious. Thanks for the hub
-Cris, no I haven't. It sounds undesirable.
-Whikat, I've come across a couple more spices I'm going to try. One is Orange Peel - mixed lightly with the other ones. The second one, I can't remember the name of right now, but it's Indian, kind of sweet/hot, and I'm gonna try that one, too! Safeway is evolving a pretty sophisticated spice section.
Hot damn this sounds delicious. I used to squirt in a little whipped cream into my brew as well... the cooling sensation from the cream with a nice warm sip of the coffee is awesome!!!!
It totally is. No matter what the situation or current trauma, it's my morning ritual of gourmet indulgence.
oh nevermind, i won't share the recipe then :C
Is it a real coffee? I'll have to look it up.
yeah it's real coffee and banana!
in a blender, put slices of banana, pour coffee, add sweetener of preference, milk, vanilla extract and crushed ice. blend. pour in tall glass. put straw. add mini-parasol. get out into the sun and hope it stays up. you're chillin' ;D
Wow Cris. Totally original, and it sounds great! I'll be trying this one. I never would have thought of a banana. Kudos to you for thinking outside the latte cup!
This would also be good with Kahlua or something like that!
Sounds delic, it is time for Ice Coffee and I am certainly going to try this out. :)
It's only partially original as I got the idea from a pie. But I'd rather drink my coffee than eat so I experimented and presto my own strange brew! :D
That is exactly where all of the ideas for the world's best foods and drinks have come from: other foods, experimentation, and screw-ups. I shit you not.
Speaking of experimentation, I'd try substituting the milk for flavored creamer!
yeah well, it has to start somewhere!
do as you like. but i prefer it less slushy :D
my friend, happy 1st anniv. left something for you in the forums. chekkit :D
Thank you! I'm not totally sure what you mean, but I THINK it's my one year on Hub Pages, right? Was the thingy in Hubtivity?
What's in Forums? Gotta go check it out.
yeah, your medal paraded. apparently you were bumming about somewhere else! :D
Coffee yes yes yes<drool, slur> I'm a French press kind of girl and I also use and old fashioned Melita drip pot sometimes. For me the trick is making coffee fresh, one small batch at a time and never never letting it sit around to get bitter. That said, in a pinch I'll drink almost anything--even percolator cofffee. Great hub. Thumbs up!
Chocolate Raspberry Arabica Espresso with creme fraiche and a spoon of raw sugar in a 24oz cup. Hello world, I'm AWAKE!!!!
Ha-ha. I was updating Numerous Fragments. Still not through with it. But, I'm gonna go eat first. Thanks again for the "Congrats." That was very cool! Also, I'm gonna make your banana drink this afternoon!
-Robie, the Melita system was my introduction to REAL coffee.
-Silver Freak. Wow, that does sound amazing. Any time I've tried a fruit flavoring in my coffe it's always been gross. Perhaps my preparation?
I make raspberry syrup with fresh fruits, a little sugar then boil it and mash it and boil it and mash it, then strain it through cheese cloth, Refrigerate and it will keep for several months. it's good on soooo many things!
That sounds great!
One banana per serving is good enough for me. But as you've said, sometimes great recipes come from experimenting and screw ups :D
Try dumping in a handful of raisins. Allow to soak for 5 to 10 minutes. Let me know what the results...
-Cris, great. I'll use two for two lattes. Just added Roger Taylor to the Drummers hub. Found a great video, too!
-Needful, I'm a very open-minded dude, willing to try pretty much anything, but this afternoon, we want to enjoy these banana/coffee lattes. I like raisins, but I can't see me ever being inspired to try them in a latte.
okay. suit yourself, but you have to share the experience. :D
Didn't you just say one banana per serving? I'm making two lattes = two bananas, right?
Are you gonna try raisins?
right, I did! duh!
I'm going cinnamon first, then raisins... i'm excited already! :D
Ha-ha! Brain-fart? You haven't tried cinnamon yet? That's a prominent part of Coffee Spice mix. Sometime soon, I'm also going to add a little orenge peel to the mix. Saw it in Safeway, already finely grated and everything. It should be good, as long as I don't overdo it.
that sounds good, constant!! will try the orange peel...
i know but i'm doing them separately then by combinations. besides who thought of the banana element?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?! ME ME ME ME ME ME ME!!!!! :D
Hi M! I got the idea to add it to my Coffee Spice Mix after I finally found the ingredients for Mull spice - used for Mulled Wine (I'll be making that come the holidays!).
-Cris. I agree: it's ME ME ME ME ME ME !!!!!!!!!
Deep, hu? ;-)
Cris, just made a pitcher of BanOffee. I like it, my mother says, "Well, it's different." but she's drinking it!
Great! Now i have no reason to fear the wrath of Khan! :D
Ha-ha!
oh yeah, it's deep. waaay too deep! :D
'Too deep,' ... a relative thing. Water can be too deep, but can pockets, thoughts, emotions?
OK, shutting up now.
Who's the smartass now, smartass? :D
I can't deny it ... you are!
CW...I agree with what you say....you're on the right track....but I have a slightly different twist you may enjoy. Check out my perfect cup of coffee.
I know I'm the smart one :D
-Keys, I'll do that. I'm always interested in a "slightly different twist."
-Cris, you forgot 'ass.' Have you ever heard of an Indian spice called Asafoetida?

mmmmm, sounds good. but honestly, any black, hot, & caffinated dealio works for me
