Hitler, Hussein, and The Devil are all accredited with horrific deeds on a massive scale. What if we take another look and realize that their true common ground is that they personally never did anything at all? They were all nothing more than expert salesman, they sold ideas and concepts, others bought them, created a great marketing campaign and so the business grew.
Without their followers they had NO power and did absolutely nothing!

About Hitler, Hussein and The Devil
Adolf Hitler, 2 Aug 1934 to 30 April 1945. Accredited with the massacre of 17 million civilians and attempted genocide and massacre of an estimated 6 million Jews. The atrocities attributed to him span in to current generations buying into his dogma and continuing his "works".
Saddam Hussein, 28 April 1937 to 30 Dec 2006. He was charged and convicted with murder, torture and numerous crimes against humanity. Under his regime there were many wars, Kuwait was invaded and Kurds were oppressed and threatened with genocide. He is gone now, but his beliefs still haunt the world and his "works" continue in the hearts and hands of others.
The Devil, from the beginning of time to ?. It is said that in the beginning of time he started a war in heaven and one third of the Creators children rebelled and chose to follow him rather than the Creator. It is repeatedly used in trials and in common everyday language, "The Devil made me do it". He is attributed with every horrific thing any man or woman ever did, to include Hitler and Hussein. He never actually ever did anything.

Where Is Their Army?

Princess Diana, 29 July 1981 to 28 Aug 1996. So many titles, so many roles, humanitarian being the most prominent and well remembered.
Where is their Army? They stand alone in the crowd. Where are their followers? Cheering them on, giving them awards, writing articles, and watching as they do their work. They are the do-ers, noone did it for them. So much more than talk, they got their hands dirty, and their hearts filled. What Is The Power Of One?
When we speak mathematically about the power of numbers it is written as (1)3 + (1)3. This equation equals much more than two.
In the same context (1)6 is much more than just one.
One is just one and will always be only one. To have power, it has to be mathematically attached. One can have the power, and power begins with one, its magnitude determined by what it is attached to.. The power is given equally to the do-er and the idler alike based on those that are attached and magnify the One they are attached to.
We are all One, but combined we can become (1)∞, the possibilities are truly infinite!
What Are We Buying and Selling; Where Is The Power Going?
As we observe, Hitler, Hussein and The Devil had no power and did absolutely nothing...conversely Mother Teresa and Princess Diana also had no power and did so much. Power was given to all of them by others, they were all just one.
What are we giving our power to? What are we buying into, appreciating and selling to others? We are all Just One, united we create power, let's all take a moment and consider what we are giving power to and what we are doing for others to attach to.

Hi emohealer, a very interesting and thought provoking Hub. I don't personally believe in the devil, but I do believe in the premise that we give our power away too easily and don't take personal responsibility for what we think and do. In theory World Peace is easy - everyone just put down their weapons and put away their hate. Not too complicated!
If we consumers were a bit more diligent in finding out what exactly we are spending our money on and where the products come from and how they are made, the world might be a better place.
Good example: how many drug users in the West look back to the trail of destruction, pain and misery that was required to get them their fix?

in my opinion we are all a salespeople and doers. influenced by either good or bad. based on, we all have a choice to either do good or to do bad. when we choose one or the other we then feel the need to justify to ourselves and others why, in thus we become salespeolpe. our influence will then affect the desicion of somone else. Hitler was a good salesman and many chose to DO the works that he was proposing.one plus one gave hitler his proposed actions power. so in my opinion there is power in both good and bad, and we are all doers. so let us choose to be doers of good and not be doers of bad, and pray to know the difference.
An interesting hub - but didn't Hussein do some murdering himself?
It was rumoured that he did, but it was know that he ordered others to do it for him. It was also said that Hitler once killed someone and became sick. In all reality the atrocities they are both accredited with was done by other people, they are gone and the atrocities continue in their name.

Isn't selling ideas and concepts doing something? That's like saying an officer in the military doesn't really DO anything. But it is interesting to see that evil is followed in masses and the one's doing good usually stand alone.
yes it is if you are the one doing the peddling of the wares, they never even peddaled their own wares, others have and continue to do it for them. It can change if all of us who do the actual buying and selling put the good wares more freely on the open market. Good actually sells better than evil, which would you rather have a good solid house or a haunted house? A little more food for thought.

well my opinion is that they all hated jews. I personally believe that the jewish state of israel was the only race that was in exile and returned to their homeland to rebuild their state. The bible talks about this matter. Ever since jesus christ resurrected to the kingdom of heaven,the seals of end times begun to be open,thats when all the wars and tator came to be. If you read the revelation, it tells about this horrible world leaders which all persecuted and murdered jews.

What a great hub. Two things that I have always wondered about: the power of one and why does it always seem to be one person responsible for great wars and battles...and much more other bad stuff. There seems to be great power in that of the one! Like how you also mentioned "Good People" in this hub...also had power when combined with others. Very good topic, emohealer! By the way, is that for emotional healer?! These men did have power, with a small p! They had the power to mesmerize and manipulate. It was a power they misused. On a Spiritual level, they are very Powerful for the demonic side. The important thing is to evaluate what we have learned from the opportunity to observe their lives and the impact of their actions on others and this earth. Have we used this knowledge to change things? It doesn't appear so. Have we used the knowledge to make things better and to ensure that no one is treated unfairly or abusively? It doesn't appear so.
As far as any one of these men working alone. That was never the case. Each one of these men, just like our president, the queen of England or any other world leader, they were given the power by others. Each one of us has the capability of empowering another individual or taking the power away from another individual. History shows, however, that more often than not, people choose the wrong person to empower.
It's all about Change!!! Taking actions to initiate change. So... Here we go.....
