PREFACE: This article was originally published in FOUNDATION 

E-Mail Newsletter several years ago.

From the time this forum began almost a year and a half ago, I 

have been dedicated to presenting the truth according to the 

revealed Word of God. This mission was begun with the realization 

that certain truths are more easily accepted than others, which 

also means that most people are tuned in to a set of beliefs they 

consider to be the truth. Any information disagreeing with this 

core set of beliefs is almost automatically rejected as a type 

of heresy. In and of itself, there is nothing wrong with that 

mindset. However, when that mindset also includes an 

unwillingness to continually examine oneself and their beliefs 

to be sure they agree with Scripture, one puts himself in a 

position of rebellion to God and His Word in at least the 

following manner.

To refuse to examine yourself and your beliefs is to reject the 

truth revealed in Philippians 1:6 of God's continual work being 

performed within the spirit of men having a truly redemptive 

relationship with Him through His Son. This work is the ongoing 

process of revealing to men His truth, and then, working that 

truth out in the lives of those same men, a process not limited to 

this earth, but one which continues for eternity under different 

dynamics. To realize this is to realize that the Holy Spirit is 

continually teaching you, which means you have a need to understand 

more truth, a need to be taught. This does not mean that you are 

open to receive and embrace every bit of information which 

approaches you. On the contrary, it means that, based on the Holy 

Spirit's work coupled with faithful study of His Word, you can be 

approached by various truths and place them within the overall 

context of revelation in Scripture. The information doesn't lead 

you, you lead the information as you are led by the Spirit and His 

Word.

Since this process exists for our entire life on this earth, 

invariably we all will have information come to us which cannot be 

placed within a context because our level of knowledge and 

understanding doesn't provide a place for it. Additional study and 

revelation is required before this placement can take place. It 

doesn't mean that we discard the information or reject the 

possible meaning. We simply put it to the side until we know where 

to place it, trusting the Lord to provide the wisdom, knowledge 

and understanding we have asked for. 

Part of the problem people are faced with when confronted by 

certain truths lies in the fact that they have divorced much truth 

from Truth Himself and identified it with themselves. Certain 

beliefs which make up the core belief system of some are personal 

and carry much weight with those individuals. When this 

foundational belief or beliefs come into question, many take 

personal offense for having someone suggest, directly or 

indirectly, that they are or have been wrong. Their whole being 

convulses as they utterly reject the idea of their wrongness and 

the belief so attacking such personal values, failing to realize 

that truth never begins nor ends with themselves. Engaging in this 

process effectively interrupts the divine work of God whereby He 

continually changes that which is wrong in our lives and 

spiritually births the outworking of His truth for the World to 

behold. This happens only according to His Truth.

So, as you read this forum, please understand that I understand 

what is taking place within the hearts and minds of many who read 

the material contained herein. The content of this forum is not 

meant to stir up anger, resentment or bitterness. Truth performs 

this without assistance from anyone. It is, however, offered with 

the intent of presenting truth in a context which allows you to 

think and observe and meditate upon it in a Scriptural manner. 

This truth is never intended to be identified with me. I will not 

slander individuals or organizations. I will, however, at various 

times, detail the words and actions of individuals and 

organizations in order to reveal God's truth contained within the 

scenario, realizing that some may disagree or even dislike what I 

have done or said. 

Also, please understand that the process I have discussed has been 

personally experienced by me. I have watched God perform His 

Work of Faithfulness in my life as His truth has confronted me 

continually during the past twenty years of enquiry. Truth I 

confidently stood upon crumbled under the weight of the whole 

counsel of God. Ways seeming to be right evaporated as the way 

of Life was revealed. Systems of truth thought impregnable were 

eventually obliterated by the consistent barrage of Truth 

Himself, replaced by a more sure Word. What is being left is 

the pure Word of God and the life lived upon such a Word. The 

process continues.
