It is reported that they had a sit-in to get him to be the President of the Harvard Law Review. so he knows a lot about manipulating the race card in these Affirmative Action times. The other day he spoke out about giving "reparations" to the African Americans for the years of slavery. However, I think he must have forgotten that the day before, he wanted to remind everyone of his blue-blood connections to the Pilgrims, stating that since he was a distant cousin of Wild Bill Hickok, he wanted to challenge John McCain to a duel.

The other thing that he wants us to forget is that his Muslim African ancestors were the ones who were the original slave-traders. when he went to visit his Kenyan grandmother who lives in a shack with only a pot to pee in, he prommised to help her; When they named a school in Kenya after him, he promised to help them. He hasn't helped either projects; instead he donated 27K to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

The point is that Affirmative Action has been in effect and has been used to help many underprivileded children, for the past 40 years. And rightly so. However, that doesn't mean that simply becuse you are of a certain race you can automatically become a surgeon, for example, or the President of the United States. Both of those require a certain amount of proficiency. We are a great country and we have given many opportunities and will continue to do so.

However, there is a fine line when it comes to somone being given access to the nuclear warheads and foreign policy decisions. Same way for a surgeon. I would not want a person operating on my grandson who got there simply on the merits of Affirmative action.

Essentially, the American Presidency is not about race or religion, but about character and loyalty to the United States.
