Hi Everyone, I am Davinagirl3 and I am a STD/HIV health educator. I have been teaching adults how to protect themselves from many sexually transmitted diseases for close to 10 years, and I have been racing to keep up with the updates in information. It is important to me and to the integrity of my blog to dispurse myths and translate the "real story" about sex and communicable diseases. There have been so many cases of people being exposed simply because they did not know what they were getting into. I want to help stop that.... If I cannot answer a blog with info that I have readily at my disposal, I will make sure that I get the correct info. Right now, in most of the country, our children are being deprived of sex ed.  I took sex ed in high school and I don't remember it giving me any sexual feelings or thoughts... Those were there already.  I don't believe that our children should be left ignorant.  Many parents are unaware of what their children are NOT learning.  Sex is a topic that doesn't come up at the dinner table of many homes.  If you are not aware that oral sex is sex, then you are uninformed.  If you are not aware that anal sex is sex, you are uninformed.  It is true that these activities cannot get you, or your partner, pregnant but many MANY STDs are spread this way.  If you do not know that you can get gonorrhea, syphillis, genital warts, herpes, and HIV through oral and anal sex, as well as vaginal sex, I am here to tell you that you can.  If you have any questions about any of this information, please ask.  I don't know who you are and the only dumb question is the question that is not asked.
