The Real World: Brooklyn
52Season 21
It's been confirmed by MTV and Bunim-Murray Productions, (http://www.bunim-murray.com/) the Real World is back for it's 21st season, back where it all began in New York City back when the seven strangers were more than just a bunch of sex-crazed lushes. Then they actually had jobs and goals, and stuff. After the infamous Las Vegas season, however, MTV learned what really reels in the ratings, attractive, young 20 somethings with nothing to do but party and start fights with each other, oh and of course hook up in the house hot tub.
Though the third time filming in New York City, this summer will be the Real World's first excursion to a burough. Bunim-Murray, the same production company responsible for Oxygen's Bad Girl's Club and E!'s Keeping up with the Kardashians and Living Lohan, will film 12-13, 1-hour episodes which will air on MTV beginning in 2009.
Rumor has it that the 7 strangers might be picked to live in the BellTel Lofts (http://www.belltellofts.com/) in the not-quite-hip "downtown" though many others are predicting a Williamsburg as the location.
The cast's "job" is supposedly on the campaign trail of Kevin Powell, from Season 1 of the Real World. 16 years later, he's running for Congress as a Representative of the Fort-Greene Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn.
The identities of the roommates will undoubtedly be discovered during or post-production, so check back as the mystery unfolds!
