The Renegade Network Marketer: Is it Over Priced?

This article was prompted by a comment made on my hub; "Just follow the proven system" how many times have I read this... 99% of the time, the only proven system is selling over priced info products to people that do not know any better... i.e. make money selling the info as opposed to actually using it---submitted by Gadzooks. Well, to start with I'm one of those people. I had no idea when I 1st downloaded the free e-book The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing the incredible journey I was about to embark on. It led me to purchase The Renegade Network Marketer for $67.00 which is a tidy sum; but what do you get for your investment? Just an e-book? Perhaps, if you don't follow through that could be your experience.

Overwhelmed & Intimidated

I went to the Renegade back end system and I was blown away by the amount of value I received for the purchase of this book. In fact I was overwhelmed.The majority of network marketers, me included are intimidated by Internet marketing (or marketing in general. It hasn't been taught in the network marketing industry). As Ann Sieg says it's the marketing in network marketing that is missing. We don't know anything about it so we assume it's harder than it is. I wanted to take my business online but I had no idea how to go about it.

I knew for certain that replicated sites don't work. I deceived myself for quite some time thinking that I had an online business when in fact I did not. Yes, I purchased product online and it magically showed up at my door, but that doesn't really qualify as an online business. I was still driving miles to hotel meetings and presenting the opportunity to people offline; inviting them to join me in my online business! DUH!

Ann Sieg points out in her book that the biggest challenge with network marketing is finding qualified people to present to. So her idea of being able to attract leads online via attraction marketing or social marketing was intriguing to say the least. So what is all this Web 2.0 stuff? By now we are all aware of Facebook, Youtube etc but what does it mean to you and me?

Now, we, the average person can interact on web-pages, we can interact with each other, exchange pictures, blog etc. So what? How can we apply it to our own businesses? How do we learn this stuff? By buying 'over-priced' eBooks?

It's not just an e-book, that's the tip of the iceberg of what Ann Sieg is offering for a very nominal charge (To get access to this fabulous information you do need to qualify yourself to a certain extent. I have read comments where it has been suggested that she add a 0 to her price; I totally agree)

With your purchase you receive added value--

Ann gives you ways to monetize; ways to bring in cashflow right from the beginning; even before you have a web-site or anything to sell.Now the idea of building a network marketing business where you have monthly operating cash-flow to work with, along with a large volume of new prospects joining your list each day is a very attractive idea! Make money as you learn through monetization, what a concept! A new concept and a new word to me until recently. Just telling people that they could get paid for referring a book at Amazon.com came as a surprise to people that I have talked to offline; and that's just one of about 40 affiliate links Ann offers in the Renegade back end system. And she includes a tracking system so we know where our leads came from. We don't know what we don't know.

You make $33.50 for every eBook that is purchased through your referral, $6.80 for 2nd tier and I understand that Ann is not taking one dime from Site Build It referrals; unprecedented in this industry. If you are interested in building your own web-site step by step, Site Build It is the answer. Why spend $1000s on a web designer when you can build a site that attracts people? Flash and pretty designs are all well and good but 70% of them don't attract customers! Thanks to Site Build It we can do it ourselves...but I digress.

If you are fortunate enough to receive a phone call from someone like me on Ann's team you are provided with access to free webinars offered by successful network marketers at no cost (other than the long distance charge). It is really nice to have someone personally take you by the hand and lead you through this wealth of information. I personally did not receive one of these calls so went on a quest for more information. The reason I didn't get a call? Somehow I was linked to Ann Sieg directly! The Renegade Network Marketer hit the network marketing scene like a tsunami and Ann has literally 1000s and 1000s of leads to follow up with. What a problem to have! This is NOT about hijacking you from your primary company!

Please understand Ann Sieg is not trying to steal you away from your primary company. She is teaching marketing skills that are sorely lacking. All in all I believe it was the best $67.00 I have ever spent! Heck I've spent close to that on a monthly basis to receive motivational CDs and books to inspire me to phone names on my list and make cold calls!

The drawback to Ann Sieg's system--

The only drawback I can see, to Ann Sieg's system is the value she provides is overwhelming. If you would like to save yourself a step and not take the chance of falling through the cracks like I did let me recommend Mike Klingler's Renegade University. Mike has chosen The Renegade Network Marketer as his course book. "Learn how one little book made me drop everything I was teaching my team for 14 years in a single night... and how it transformed the businesses of 532 of my clients who follow its principles." As Klingler says the second wave, the training wave will have an even bigger impact than the 'e-book and course book wave' because it's how the majority of network marketers will actually be able to take part in the Internet attraction model. Most people need to be shown how to do things and they need it to be for an affordable price. Most will need a lot more than just an e-book, conference call or social networking forum to get their marketing started.

The solution to being in a state of 'overwhelm'

They need step-by-step help and that's the next 'wave' you want to ride. Mike Klingler is on the forefront of this 'training wave' with a step by step approach that in my opinion offers far more value than a manual or e-book could ever offer on its own.
