The Savage Sword of CONAN

"Know, my prince, than between the years in which the oceans they swallowed Atlantis and its splendid cities, and the years of the rise of the sons of Aryas, was an age of dream during which fantastic reigns were scatter to you in the world, like celestial mantles under stars. Nemedia, Ophir, Brithunia, Hyperborea, Zamora with its tawny women and the mysterious towers of the spiders, Zingara with its cavalry, Koth adjacent with the pastoral Shem, Stygia with its tomb protect from the shadows, Hyrkania whose knights wore steel, silk, and gold. But on all the reigns of the dreaming West, lead with arrogance that one of Aquilonia. Here the Cimmerian, the black hats, the dark look, the sword in the hand came Conan: a thief, a marauders, an assassin, able of abysmal melancholies and uncontrollable outbreaks of joy... came to crush under its feet the most precious thrones of the earth."
From "the chronicles Nemediane"
Conan, but not only he, the protagonist of written storys fantasy from Robert E. Howard to which as well as happened smiled on, probably why if a hero invents itself as Conan is not why people it is like he, is why, in bottom in bottom, would want is it, in the good like in the evil.
In an other time, in an other place, Conan the Cimmerian passes everywhere like the wind and the wind to disappear after to have seeded the panic.
The situation in Italy...
In far away 1973 the publishing Horn began to publish in a 14' to colors the first adventures of Conan to colors designed from Barry Smith. The series had happened but then it had to be interrupted. Draft from storys of its ideator will have to wait for 1983 far away in order to find the Barbarians in an anthology with unknown comic strips, published book from the Publishing North, then still Hush, relieved only from the cinematographic appointments with a Conan in meat and boneses interpreted the young Arnold Schwarzenegger, until arriving to March 1986 with the escape of the series in black and white "the wild sword of published Conan" from the Comic Art, to which an other necklace is placed side by side, this time to colors, from the title it "Conan the always published Barbarians" from the Comic Art in September 1986, finally the ruin the series pulls and the Marvel Italy decides that it must make product buys the rights and continues little for printing finchè does not decide to change pagination, format and this to people does not go, then closes in series first Conan the Barbarians Conan the adventurer (completely published from the Marvel and lasted 13 numbers) and finally it closes also the wild sword of Conan, however the colpe cannot sure be given to all to the Marvel Italy, in fact also in America heads dedicated to the Cimmerian have been various sluices, than however publishing life continues to having one, at least lì in America....
They are alternated to the witnesses and the designs of Conan authors of the bore of Roy Thomas, Barry Smith, Alfredo Alcala, Tony de Zuniga, Neal Adams and the great John Buscema.
The scenes in motion and the duels transposed body to body from the novel to the comic strip render in full load which Howard wished to express, in the norm the heroes of the comic strips, and in special way those Americans, are good persons to 100% the always correct ones, than with extreme reluctance criminal antagonists also kill theirs. This in Conan does not happen!! The Cimmerian does not possess some moral affinity or of behavior that can remember its connect of paper. He's Unforeseeable ,he's lives and thinks next to the day. Today it is a thief of jewels, tomorrow is a feracious one pirata. An other day impietosisce and a its similar one is helped, in an other occasion it watches and it passes ahead incurante. Its only true aim is the survival in a cruel age.
I pray Crom that has come wants to read some adventure to you of the mythical Cimmerian, for whichever council is to your disposition, Hello
