1-4. Our 2008 Seahawks are on pace to go 3-13 or 4-12. How depressing is that? We haven't been this bad since 1992 when we went 2-14. Here are our rankings so far this year:

Offensive rankings:

1. Points - 20th (20/gm)
2. Yards - 27th (274.8/gm)
3. Pass. Yards - 31st (137.6/gm)
4. Rush. Yards - 5th (137.2/GM - The only bright spot)

Defensive rankings

1. Points - 29th (30.2/gm)
2. Yards - 27th (355.8/gm)
3. Pass. Yards - 22nd (229.6/gm)
4. Rush Yards - 23rd (126.2/gm)

We have lots of excuses. We've had a lot of injuries this year and it doesn't look like it's getting any better (Matt Hasselbeck injury and Deion Branch is still injured), three of our pro-bowl defenders are wearing casts on their hands (Trufant, Kerney & Tatupu). I personally don't want to hear any excuses. Look at all the teams that have endured injuries and come out on top. I think our biggest problem is that we are not playing with any fire in our bellies. There is no passion out there on the field. These guys have got complacent after 4 years of easily winning their division. I also think that Holmgren is part of the problem this year. He knows this is his last year. The players know this is his last year. Even if they don't admit it, that HAS to affect you mentally. It has to affect Mike's work ethic and his attitude. It has to affect the player work ethics and attitudes.

My second worry is about the coaching change that is happening next year. Jim Mora JR. is our DB coach. They are currently, and have been for several years the weakest link on our team. They play uninspired, weak willed football. Is that what he is going to bring to the entire team next year?

I would like some comments on this one. I want to know if I'm alone in this. Am I a pessimist or a realist? Are we going to get better next year with Mora or is the whole team going to play like our secondary? Let me know what you think!
