Use Your God Given Talents

This is the eighth hub in my series on the law of attraction and manifesting. Probably the most common conscious creation tool is the scrapbook or note board. These are a place to put pictures of what you want, so you can look at them and focus on them. There are lots of stories of how well this works. If scrap booking is not your thing, then this will be less effective for you than something that is inline with your natural talents. When you are doing something you are passionate about, you and source energy are at the same frequency. You’re speaking the same language. A language of Joy and Love. So, when you try to manifest from this place, the Universe has a much easier time delivering the goods.

Art

Lets say for example you are an artist. You could actually paint pictures of what you want. Paint yourself in the situations you would like to see yourself in. Maybe make a collage or sculpture of your desires. Getting involved with , thinking about, and feeling your art will be a much stronger message to the Universe than a poster board for you.

Dance

If dancing is your passion, dance with your dream. Choreograph a piece that symbolizes the realization of your desires. Use music that will heighten your emotion. As you dance, don’t just wear the appropriate emotion on your face for the audience, but feel it and express it for yourself. Remember it is positive emotion that brings speed to your manifestation. This is your request to the Universe. Make it real and the Universe will follow your lead.

Write

Are you a writer? Wonderful! Write a screenplay in which you, a very happy you, are getting all your hearts desires. Write your dialog and all your positive stage directions. i.e. “He cheerfully grinned and accepted the scholarship.”

You could also just write a letter. A letter explaining to a friend all the wonderful things that have happened to you, as if they have already occurred. Include lots of descriptive words and lovely emotions of course. Pick someone you could actually divulge your hearts desire to, so you won’t edit yourself due to embarrassment. If there is no one in your life like this, try writing a “Dear Diary” entry that begins, “Today was the best day of my life...”

As a writer you could also write a short story in which you are the main character. Describe all the things you’d like to have happen in your life as if it already has. “Once upon a time there was this man who was in the right place at the right time...”

Music

If you are a musician then write a song about what you want coming into your life. You should write it past tense as if has already happened: The day she walked into my life.” Remember focus on the end result not where you are now. “I want money” is much stronger than “I don’t want to be dirt poor no more”. as far Lyrics go. Make sure the song makes you feel positive emotion. It doesn’t have to be jumping up and down happy, a contented happy is fine. Don’t write a song that leaves you melancholy, that is attracting all the wrong things regardless of what the lyrics actually are. Without even meaning to, you’ll be humming these affirmations and focusing on these desires every time your song pops into your heady.

Models

Models can also be a great manifesting tool. I’m referring to the balsam wood and white glue type, not the six foot tall, size four type. Build or buy a model of your desired item: vehicle, house or plane. If you are a sculpture this could even work for people. Long before I knew about the Law of Attraction I longed for a new car but felt I wasn’t worthy. I wanted a forest green Explorer with beige leather interior, Eddie Bauer Model. My sister-in-law gave me a perfect model of it, as a joke. I kept it on my desk and looked at it everyday. Two things happened. A man from a neighboring business commented that as a store owner I should consider replacing my Tempo with something more representational of the successful business owner he thought I was. He said my old car was giving the wrong impression to my customers. My beliefs about my worthiness changed that day. Then a customer came in with my dream car for sale. I’d like to say I jumped at it but I actually looked this gift horse in the mouth for weeks before I allowed myself to believe this was for me. I’m sure the Universe was rolling its eyes that month. Back then I still believed in coincidences. So I thought that it was just a big coincidence when I started driving the spitting image of my little plastic model.

Literature

If you like to read, easy enough. Surround your self with literature on the subjects you mean to manifest; vacation pamphlets, money magazine, or car brochures. I, for example, love to read books of a spiritual nature. My favorite authors now turn me on to other great authors. Fan clubs presents them selves to me, as do web sites and book clubs, all within my genre. People who like reading and discussing these books keep crossing my path. Like attracts like.

Act

If you are an actor, manifesting your desires is as easy as playing the part. To make acting work though, you need to believe that this could come to pass and you have to put real emotions into it. Go ahead play the role of a millionaire or a happy spouse, or a race car driver. Acting as if something you want has already come about is a most potent message to the Universe. If you feel silly, back off to a level you find plausible. A combination of wanting and believing is the quickest way to manifest.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Again, I love your writing! I read so many books and articles about what one needs to do to achieve such and such or so and so but with only generic instructions or instructions geared toward a certain type of person. Your many and broad examples of how to achieve success manifesting desires is extremely helpful and inspiring! Thank you again! You're brilliant!

This is a great page. Isn't it wonderful to know that we can manifest our desires just by having fun and doing what we love!

Neilalan, Isn't great to know that we SHOULD be having fun. That's our real job, to seek joy. What a concept :) I hope you are doing what you love.

These are excellent suggestions. I think I will write a short story or play in which I get my heart's desire. I am a lucky man, and I want too much, but in fiction I can have it all.

The idea behind The Law of Attraction is that your fiction if you believe you can have it, focus on it, and are open to it will become non-fiction. Read road blocks and beliefs though, to see what can go wrong. Good luck with your heart's desire Tom.

Better late than never, I'm happy to have stumbled upon your work... Its a refreshing bit of information that might inspire the world to think of the good they can do by just desiring it to be without all the fear of loosing what is not there to begin with...

Good stuff, I enjoyed the read and the assurance that its what one makes of it that is...

Thanks, lou

I read a pin the other day that said "Think peace. Now what." If a substantial amount of people would just do that one little thing how glorious that would be.
