This hub is number seven in a series about the law of attraction and manifesting. Like gravity, the law of attraction is a law functioning whether we are aware of it or not. Once we become aware we can then use it to manifest into our lives what we want. Visualizing what we want is one of the most common ways to let the universe know what we’d like. When we get our emotions into it we send a stronger signal. If we can keep our day dream running longer it gets more potent. Visualizing isn’t for everyone and visualizing with feeling can feel very awkward. You may have trouble producing mind pictures, or you may just feel plain silly. But, visualization is a powerful tool that you want in your manifestation arsenal. So here's a little trick to make visualizing easier. Use your favorite hobbies to help you. Go to a place in your mind you are comfortable with. A place that you already have positive emotions for. Then build from that place. Remember this is just play, so have fun with it.

Visualize While You Run

Using Your Interests to Keep it Interesting

Lets say you like cars and driving fast. Great! In your mind get geared up for a race. Pick a fast car. You’ve probably already had this day dream before. If you usually race on a track fine, if a country road feels more familiar that's fine too. Now work what you want to manifest into that daydream. Lets say its money. Race to a check point, feel the joy of it. Only when you get there, they start flinging $100 bills in your window. Next check point more money. Not after money? Maybe its a circuit date. Every stop a new attractive woman or man gets in for a ride. Whatever it is you want to attract, work it in to your daydream. Have fun with this. Feel the excitement. Feel the emotion you would feel if this were real.

Like to mountain climb? Put your goals at the top of the mountain. See yourself pulling yourself toward it and reaching it. Feel the exhilaration of the climb. Feel the adrenaline. Feel the accomplishment of reaching your goal.

Perhaps you are a runner. Layout the course in your mind before you head out for your run. Be it a track or country road, along the course choose check points. Assign rewards to each check point. For example, if you reach the oak tree you will be given a raise. When you get to the fence an attractive person will be waiting to give you their number as you run by. Or you could do it by mile markers. Every mile you reach put up your arms and let heaven drop an imaginary robe of blessings on you. Mile one -prosperity, mile two -clarity of mind, mile three - wisdom, and so on.

Maybe you are an accomplished cook. Imagine cooking the perfect meal for your new boss, new lover, new accountant. Involve yourself in this visualization. You know what its like to cook, just take it a step further. Explain what your cooking to your new boss. Give her samples of what you are preparing. Make small talk about business. Or feed tastes to you new lover. Visualize them telling you what a superb cook you are. Or pour your accountant a glass of wine, explaining how grateful you are that he has been able to manage your quickly growing bank account. Remember to feel the emotions. Make it successful. Make it fun.

If shopping is your bag, try the internet and play act as if you have millions to spend. I’m not suggesting you spend money you don’t have. I’m just suggesting you practice. Practice being rich. Most shopping web sites have shopping carts. You can fill these up with abandon and never actually check out and pay. You can put outfits together, redecorate whole homes, or stock up your workroom with new tools. Visualize your dream as you shop.

I'd love to hear your comments or personal experiences with visualizations.

What a great & new perspective! Visualizing is sometimes difficult because the situation is still "unknown" but incorporating something familiar and already joyful with the new vision is brilliant!

You just have a way with words! I use manifestations all the time in my life, but reading you hubs reminds me of the possibilities that i sometimes forget. Like $100 dollar bills being flung at me...I am gonna use that one, I'll let you know what happens. Very inspirational writing, and fun to read!

I'm glad you enjoy them Dottie. I find in easier to write when I'm feeling passionate about something. Thanks for reading!

Wow thanks for the compliment Patti. I have a couple more hubs in this series coming with more manifestation "games."

Dan I have another fun visualization I like to do with money. I picture $100 bills stalking me and trying to jump in my purse when I'm not looking. That one worked this week!

I need to remember to visualize even during my crazy days!

Kat, it's probably on those crazy days you need to visualize the most. When your head is filled with negative thoughts take a second and "change your brain."

Very good. I am also into manifesting greatness, law of attraction, etc. Have been for years. My favorite author and actually one of the first I got hooked on is Catherine Ponder. Alot of the new stuff people are reading today can be traced back to what she started. Anyway, good stuff. Thanks.

Question: About visualization, if you had just met someone, weren't sure if they were exactly 'the one,' because you had just met them, but still visualized the 2 of you together because you're a little prone to fantasy before you know all the details, would the universe deliver this person to you? Let's say you just fantasized about being with them sexually, would the universe just deliver a purely sexual relationship with them to you? Just wondering because I've fantized about this certain someone a lot, because based on initial information they seem like an excellent person and they are good looking, but even though we've flirted and been out a few times, I think they like someone else and that the universe isn't delivering this person to me. Is it wrong to use the law of attraction in this way? I'm thinking that it's wrong because you can't focus on one person, just focus on the visualization of someone you want who the universe has picked out for you?

Emmiely, from my studies I would have to say no, you can't manifest a person. You can't manifest anyone to do anything. That would make them puppets. You can visualize yourself with someone perfect for you, but you can't pick them. You can visualize that other person being completely happy, but the with whom, is not up to you. You very well might end up with a purely sexual relationship, but the "whom" is still in question. Sorry.

Emmiely  says:

Thanks. I don't want a purely sexual relationship so I will stop thinking like that about that person!
