Recently we've seen a number of hubs on sexy hubbers. These hubs have one thing in common: the author puts together the list. In other words, the author's criteria and definition of sexy is applied. Nothing wrong with that, of course. It's good to have and express personal preferences. But the drawback is the one has to be known to the publisher of the hub in order to make a chance to make the list.

So I was pondering over this, looking for a mechanism to have a real, open contest. One where every member of the HubPages community would be able to influence the outcome. At first I wanted to solve the ‘problem' by publishing some hub, this hub, to first invite contestants and later collect votes. But soon enough I realized that this would involve a lot of work for me. I'd have to keep track of who collected the most votes. And being quite lazy by nature, I quickly put this idea aside.

But still, using one (or more) hubs did appear to be the way forward. After all, HubPages offers this convenient functionality to rate hubs. So basically the Hub Score would indicate the sexiest hubber. The only flaw in this solution is that we don't really know how this Hub score is computed. I think we will just have to accept that.

So here's the idea:

We register a new hubber, going by the name of: SexyHubberContest and share the password.

Anyone who wants to enter the competition logs in by that name and publishes a hub, called: Sexy Hubber <Hubber's name> (where <hubber's name> is of course your own nick on HubPages).

In this hub you try to convince the community why you should be elected Most Sexy Hubber. You can also nominate an other hubber if you want. Basic rule is that the title is the same to keep things fair. And there can only be one hub per hubber.

The rest of us use the rating functionality and the first Hubber to achieve a Hub Score of 100 is proclaimed the winner.

And yes, I realize that there's room for cheating. Anyone would be able to modify every hub, for one. But this would only be for fun, wouldn't it? So we should be able to trust eachother.
