The Silver Turtles: A Rock and Roll Love Story
62The black and white turtle stones
The Silver Turtles are a rock and roll band from Long Grove, IOWA. The rock and roll love story began when the unsuspecting lead singer, James "6" St. Germaine fell for the precipitous pass and the love of a beautiful young girl. Lightning flashed and looked him right in the eye and when he regained his sight, she was gone.
The Silver Turtles "Plumb, Level, Square EP" is an appeal to the gods of rock to bring his true love back to him. Each song tells a piece of the story, so that when she hears the softly spoken magic spell clearly, then their love will be restored.
The black turtle stone was found by James "6" St. Germaine while harvesting his corn crop in Long Grove, Iowa in the fall of 2008. He came to a clearing in the middle of his field and discovered what appeared to be a crop circle type design. Hovering above the field in his Families hot air balloon, the image became clear. It was a star tetrahedron. As he gazed upon the magnificent design, he saw a shimmering object in the middle down on the field below. James quickly set down the balloon and hurried to the spot he had scene from above as below. There he found the black turtle stone, which he carries in his pocket to this very day. At that moment, a voice like a breeze whispered into his ear; "She has the white turtle stone. Find her. Unite the black and white stones."
And then the voice was gone.
Please help us unite the black and white turtle stones. You are our only hope.
Very Clearly Yours,
James "6" St. Germaine
