The Song That Touched My Heart

Last week it was Sunday evening about 9 pm while I lay in bed beside my mother, I heard a soft music being played by somewhere in the neighborhood. In my mind I knew exactly who sang that song. He maybe an old man but his voice still sound as if it was still like his younger days.

I knew most people of middle age to old age who are still alive could relate much and love his song. And while I was listening to that music my memory flashed back when I was still in my elementary grade where my parents used to play this songs in an old big sound system. As I grow older the meaning or message of his songs has been adsorbed in my mind, as if somehow I am able to digest its beautiful meaning. Aside from the message of those songs I just can't deny the voice behind the songs, his voice soft, cool to the ears. Soothing and pleasant to hear. The man I am referring is no other than Perry Como. I have been a silent admirer of this man when I was still a child up to now though I am not old as my mother, but my mother was practically surprised upon knowing I love Perry Como's songs. Though music of this generation are also good still I can't deny the fact that olden songs convey message that will linger into your hearts aside from its good melody.

One of my favorite song he has is And I Love You So. Try listening to his original songs in the silent moment and you will see the relieving and soothing effect of his songs that reaches through your soul.

Sad to say we lost already the original copy of his song. And don't bother to bought new copy so what I did was search for his song in the You Tube and so I'm gladly inviting you to take time to listen and watch songs of my old time favorite singer Perry Como. Hope you will enjoy it too like what I do. A simple tribute to Perry Como.

Voice of Perry Como In his younger days

Perry Como- And I Love You So. In his old age already still has quality voice.

Beautiful! Actually, I love listening to both Perry Como and Tony Bennett.

While we're at it, why not try Frank Sinatra and Andy Williams too?

beautyrose, I think the beauty of those singers, that bunch from the mid 20th century was that they sang one note to every sylible, it was plain singing and simple to understand. I used to like "Catch a Falling Star"

It's nice to hear a lot of the oldies being replayed these days, there are a few newbies that have competitive voices, but you see what's dominating the airwaves for the last decade.

Regards

Wow, I'm listening to him right now as I'm writing this. Why can't music be like this, rather than that sh** you hear while waiting at a red light? Oh my God, I think I'm getting old! There's music that I enjoyed as a kid that will probably make my kids (when I have some) roll their eyes in embarrassment. Oh well. I thank you for sharing, beauty rose.

Nice hub beautyrose, I have an album my dad gave me many years ago, I'll have to play it again. My 22 year old son turned me on to Frank Sinatra a couple of years ago and I'm now a fan. Don't know why I wasnt' before.
