There is no doubt that Eva Mendes is beautiful. She is one of today's hottest actresses. I first noticed her in the movie Training Day with Denzel Washington and she stuck in my mind. From there, she did quite a lot of high profile movies, some hits, some misses. I thought she was extremely hot in Once Upon a Time in Mexico starring Johnny Depp.

In 2008, Eva Mendes plays the role of Sand Saref in the movie The Spirit, based on a comic book by Will Eisner. Sand Saref is a siginificant part of The Spirit universe because she's the main character's love interest and long time childhood friend. She's also a spy for hire and ends up conflicting with the Spirit.

Additionally, Eva Mendes starred in another comic book movie Ghost Rider starring Nicholas Cage. There's really not much to say about the movie other than Nicholas Cage, a known fan of comic books, was miscasted.
