As an office tenant advisor I often come across many mistakes that a company has made while going through the office space leasing process. They range from a whole host of things, but for the first time I have come across a website that has laid out the top 10 mistakes so well. Openofficespace.com has outlined and given detail about the top 10 mistakes on their website. I have highlighted them here.

10- Not Asking for Enough Landlord Incentives

9- Underestimating the preexisting condition of the premises or office suite

8- Signing too short of too long of a lease

7- Not properly estimating the amount of office space needed by your company

6- Choosing the wrong location

5- Not understanding all of the cost associated with your office space

4- Making your decision based solely on price

3- Not giving yourself enough time to fully go through the process

2- Selecting the wrong broker or not using one at all (a non-brokerage website wrote that…)

1- Neglecting to determine current and long term priorities

All of these mistakes can and should be avoided.
