I claim no expertise in the world of D/s relationships. I often have found myself exploited and not in the good give me more way or confusing a desire for romance in relationships that at the end of the day seem best defined by straight forward motives of all concerned.  It has been my experience that those in the role or slave/submissive for more than a few play sessions are weaker romantics when it comes to keeping appropriate relations with Dom/me.

In the end it takes a while to learn that the reason you associate yourself in community is to avoid the rouge Dom/me who is only out to exploit a submissive or slave with an overly emotional nature. One cannot submit your true emotions to your Dom/me unless you have some sort of control over them yourselves. If a slave or submissive is ruled by pure emotion they will lack the submissive skill to submit their emotional will to their Master/ Mistress. 

It is the wise and rational Dom/me who understand a true submissive emotional nature and knows when to push the limits.  Submissive and slaves who are lucky to belong to wise Dom/me know that they can be given full permission for emotional expression in a protected way only the best Dom/me can give.  Submissive and slaves first must learn to submit even their strongest emotions to the Dom/me in order to truly experience the freedom of submissive state.  There is no more real romance for a true submissive or slave then to have been freed of the responsibility of picking your emotion.  A wise Dom/me  can elicit joy, fear, and submissive space in a slave or submissive who can learn to give over their emotional control and trust their Dom/me to know what best serves them and how they can best serve their Dom/me. 

The ultimate emotional high is when our Master’s or Mistress has pushed our limits and brought us to a new place of service in which we please them well.  It is a perfect emotional congruency that we constantly strive for in healthy D/s relationships.
