What about the year 2012?

The Great Year

Another one of Christianity’s Misrepresentations has to do with the end of the world and Jesus’ second coming. For 2,000 years they have been waiting without satisfaction. The King James Version of Matthew 28:20 reflects that view.

20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. (Matt. 28:20 KJV)

It was a misinterpretation. According to the authoritative Strong’s Dictionary, “world” was mistranslated from the Greek, aion<, meaning “an age”. Ignorant of astrology, Strong’s goes on to say aion implies “world”. There are some powerful differences between world and age.

A fundamentalist favorite, the New International Version gets it right with “age”.

20teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matt. 28:20 NIV)

The “end of the world” implies some kind of calamity like a giant meteor or a nuclear war. If something like that happens, one’s faith is not going to make a difference. The end of the age refers to an astrological age within the Great Year.

The Earth's rotation axis is not uniform. Like a rotating toy top, the direction of the rotation axis has a slow wobble or precession with a period of 25,920 years.

Stars for Signs

You might find it interesting that in the Book of Genesis, it says God created "Light" on the first day. But the Sun and the stars had not been created yet. They are given special mention in a passage which follows later. In Chapter 1, Verse 14, God is said to have made the sun and moon and stars "for signs" on the fourth day of Creation. For thousands of years, astrologers have been doing just that - looking "for signs" in the heavens as a way of understanding what is happening, or will happen, on Earth.

Remember that the heavenly bodies move in ways that are not controlled by man, but by some universal Force which many call God. If there are "signs" to be seen in their movements, one could argue that the "signs" are from God, and perhaps that is why their use as "signs" is specifically mentioned in the first chapter of the Bible.

"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:" - Genesis 1:14 in King James Version of The Bible

Sometimes I wonder if the people who quote the Bible to condemn Astrology have ever read what is on the very first page? It says God made these heavenly bodies to show us "signs" of His intentions, and those signs are there for anyone to read, if they would only learn how to interpret them.

That is what Astrology is all about - interpreting the signs in the motions of the sun, moon, and "wandering" stars. And that is why Kings and Popes have consulted Astrologers throughout the entire recorded history of mankind. In ancient times these wise counselors were called Magi (wise men) or Chaldeans, since many of the wise men who knew the principles of Astrology were from the land of known as Chaldea

One Person's Thoughts

These are not my own but of someone elses:

"""This is a good exemple why we need to study God's word, and why we need to be in 'a' God loving church. By doing those two steps first, you open yourself up to build a relationship between 'you' and 'God' It's correct , God's gifts are free to those who seek them, they are given to us to bring forth good fruit. When we take the gift and no longer apply it to the word of God ,they become bitter and rotton and no longer holds its purpose. When God said there will be signs of His intentions, there is no mistaken just what His intentions are ,and most of all, ' no mystery. ' When we leave out God who stands firm on His perfect plan for our life's, and try to interpret what is already provided, it only leads to destruction and ruin."""

The Quesitons Came.....

So where is the destruction and the ruin in Astorlogy and especially when it pertains to the word of god?

If there is no mystery then why does the Roman Catholic Church call everything about Jesus a "mystery"?

Who has the right to interpret God's Word for others------didn't God say it was personal and Jesus said that it is within our very own hearts?

If this is all so that his gifts were freely given then who is to say what gifts are bad and good when in Corinthians all is good---and God doesn't make mistakes.

Whose word are you going by---man's or the words God and Jesus put into your heart?

Now everytime that I have asked quesitons--- what I get in return is that I am not of God and that God's word is the Bible and then scriptures are thrown at me. When I take those scriptures and add all the words and other sentences around them that are in the paragraph wheat I get then -----is a histry lesson. So is the Bible one big history lesson or is it a guide to live our lives by or is it God's Words?

Who was the person who wrote Genesis and the things about the astrology in the Bible that clearly is misrepresented as NOT being God's words but it clearly is?  Was this person there or did they have a "vision".  How old wer they when they got this information and how old were they when they wrote it all down?

Whose responsibily is it to get what God is saying in the Bible? Is it ours or for someone else to tell us what it says?

Questioning in not bad and Jesus says so. What is bad and evil is when one person tells you their interpretation and then expects you to live by those. Doctrines are that way and preachers have been indoctrinated and told what should and shouldn't be asked. ....well I can go on and on....... but the fact remains it is for each of us to listen to the words that were put in our hearts and minds and not go by a book.....because Jesus said it isn't in a book---period.

Astrology IS in that Book and you may not call it that---Prophesy is in that Book and that is what it is called also................

Read the Bible for yourselves and get what God's words are, not what someone else's are. Read up on the history of what went into the Bible and where it came from and what mistranslations that were made. Jesus tells you to do this and why some won't is beyond me and Jesus.

What else does this book have in it that you don't know about or are prevented to see becasue of man?

You will not go to hell for doing as Christ says of you to do. Why would you?
