The Ultimate Movie List for Movie Buffs

I love movies and have accumulated a favorites list of my top movies. Movies are difficult to place into a slot, because to some, one movie is great, and to others the same movie would be dull and witless! The favorite list was put together in answer to a request listed in the famous "Hub request section".

Many of the following movies still bring back memories that still intrigue my younger mind.

Here are my all time favorites and why I love them.

Casablanca: A wonderful love story set in the midst of World War II. A love story with a twist at the end! The story takes place in Rick's Amerikan Cafe.

Groundhog Day: We all say we would like too have a day to live over, but do we really? You watch a jerk eventually learns about himself while eventually he "learns his lesson"!

Blood Diamond: This movie really makes you think about buying diamonds. The scenery is unbelievable and the characters are real! The makers of the movie used a lot of locals in the telling of the story. By the way, the story is true!

The Sixth Sense: Do you see dead people? A well put acted and fascinating movie. The little boy, that the story evolved around was awesome!

The Magnificent Seven: A collection of great actors with a great story. This movie is fantastic! Yul Brenner, Steve McQueen, and other great actors make this movie close too the top of my list.

The Great Escape: The same reason as above. This movie is based upon a true story. It is action packed around beautiful scenery.

Bullitt: Steve McQueen was great with the Mustang. The chase scene is one of the all time best! If you love powerful Mustang muscle cars, you are going too be in for the ride of your life!

Million Dollar Baby: The end was hard to take! A great story of tenacity and will! A great fight movie with great fight scenes!

Stalag 17: Red, White, and Blue all the way! William Holden is planning an escape, but who is telling the German's their plans?

A River Runs Through It: Great scenery and story. A character study of two sons and how they deal with life. Lesson's are learned using a fly fishing rod.

She Wore A Yellow Ribbon: John Wayne. The Duke in an action movie served up along with a true love story.

Legends Of The Fall: The awesome beauty of nature. A strong willed father trying to lead three sons. They all fall for the same woman. Brad Pitt has a tremendous role!
