Introduction and the Vision

A friend of mine had a vision recently that to me was very profound and sobering. I am going to try and describe this vision as accurately as possible. I will then expound upon it from the Bible. I hope you enjoy this very much and will be blessed by it.

The Vision

In the vision my friend was standing on the pulpit at a church service. He saw soldiers come into the building wearing all of their armor. Each soldier came in and took a seat on a pew and started removing their armor. They were all cut and bruised very badly all over their chests and body.

From behind my friend Jesus stepped out. He looked upon the whole congregation with love and compassion in His eyes. Jesus went to each soldier laying hands on them and each time the soldier was healed completely without even so much as a scar left on their body. After Jesus went to the last one He went back to the pulpit. Each soldier then put all of their armor back on and went out the door.

Hold On

How does Healing Come?

Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Healing of our wounds can only come from Jesus Himself. He is the one who took the stripes upon His back for our healing. Many times in my walk with Christ, revelation has come concerning certain scriptures. I hope that to be true for all followers of Christ. we all need revelation of the scriptures from Christ Himself through the Holy Ghost.

The soldiers are the children of God. They fight the good fight of faith out in the world. We fight against principalities and powers. It is not a war of flesh and blood. When we are beaten down and bruised, we must come to Jesus for healing of our wounds. Before we ask for healing of our wounds. we must expose them to Jesus. (Luk 22:50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. Luk 22:51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.) Peter was the one who drew the sword to cut off this man's ear. Before Jesus could heal the ear of Malchus, the wound had to be exposed to Jesus first.

Why do we Need Healing?

Luk 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

We are persecuted constantly for the sake of Christ. It might not be a physical persecution, but a spiritual one. We must always remember that we do not war against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness in high places. When we fight against spiritual wickedness, we get cuts and bruises just as if we would if we were in an actual physical confrontation. These things happen and we need to be healed from these wounds. Jesus is the only one who can heal our spiritual wounds.

Lord You're Holy

Why Was Jesus Hated?

Jesus was hated for what He preached. Everything He preached went against the grain of what the Pharisees believed. Though the Pharisees preached live according to the law, they missed the law of Grace. Jesus did not preach tolerance as many believe, but He preached salvation by grace through faith. Revelation of who He is must be made to each individual before they can come to God. it is for this reason that Jesus died on the cross for all. I wrote a poem titled Jesus Died For You Too that should be read by everyone, especially those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Savior.

As we grow closer to God through Jesus, we are hated more and more because of the reproof of the Word that we preach. The world does not like to be reproved of their acts and deeds. Many even claim to be without sin. When they do so they call Jesus a liar.

Jesus stated once, Mat 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? What is He saying here? He is calling them evil. The Bible states that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. I am one of those mentioned in the all.

The Church

There have been many statements made by different people saying that there is no need to go to church. They claim they can worship God anywhere at anytime. While this is true, how many would go out on a lake to fish and worship God while there. When a fish takes your bait, then what do you do? Do you let it alone and keep worshiping God or do you put your attention to your fishing pole? There are too many distractions out in the world to keep focused on worshiping God constantly. We must come to a place of refuge where we can remove our armor to expose our wounds to Jesus. This is the way of healing of our wounds so we can go back out into the world and fight the good fight once again. (Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. ) If you refuse to gather with believers, are you any better off than the lost? They likewise refuse to gather with believers.

We are to come out from among the world. We are in the world, but not of the world. This means we are created in the image and likeness of God. I know many believe that all men are likened to God, but those who are lost are likened to Satan. As Satan rebelled against God, the lost also are rebellious against God. They are blinded by Satan and do not know any better really, although God calls all to repentance.

Conclusion

Jesus made many statements concerning how the world will view His followers. There is nothing much to add to what he said.

Joh 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

1Jn 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

Prayer

Father, touch each and every soul who reads this. Let them heed the call to repentance before you as the Holy Ghost reproves them of their sins. In Jesus name Amen.

Very pertinent hub. I like it.

Those who say they do not have to go to church are incorrect. They do not really worship God. The faith cannot come only by hearing of Word of God (Rom 10:17) :-). Without faith it is impossible to please God.

Thank you.

Thank you Vladimir for the read and comment. You are right. Faith can only come by hearing the Word of God. Also, we live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

As I read this I couldn't help but think of how very much I love Jesus. As that love grows deeper I am seen more as an odd one because I openly express that I love Him. I know that so many suffer devestation and even death for their faith in Jesus. I think I can bear the scoffers. I praise God for those whose lives are on the line for Him and they stand firm. I can only pray that put to the same type of persecution I would do the same. Good hub -thanks so much for sharing it.

Several years ago a friend shared much the same vision with me, but his was at the end of each day his suit of armor would be dented, rusty and damaged from the battle he had to fight.

Each morning when he awoke his armor would be all polished and repaired and ready for another day...God always provides...

Would just like to highlight a point that stuck out to me strongly... we must reveal our wounds to God before He can heal them... our instinct is to hide them and bandage them and nurse them in solitude. But God wants to heal them, not nurse them ;) Neat thought...

I was blessed from your hub Sir Dent. Often we forget that we are at war amonst a people who have no idea that one is going on. Some of those people can be Christians. We will get bruised and battered up. We will get our feelings hurt. Jesus is where we will find the balm and healing. I love you Sir Dent, my brother.

A vision! And what a powerful vision it was. Yes, we will need our wounds healed by our Master and we will need to put on that armor, too.

I agree that we are to come together in community to worship God, pray for each other, heal the broken hearted, and love each other.

Thanks for a wonderfully edifying Hub, Brother. Peace be with you.

Well Hello Sir Dent, I am honored you are my brother in Christ. I love this hub. I so needed to hear and savor each word tonight. The videos are beautiful. I am bookmarking. The Holy Spirit moves through you to reach many. I am grateful our paths have crossed. Your writing is beatiful I felt the HS move through your words to me. Christ is amazing. He died a brutal death for us. Soon we will be homeward bound. Chidren of God have much work to do for him that loved us first.

I stopped going to a church of many years. I listened to Daystar most every day for a year. I thought that was enough. It was, but God had much more in store for me. One day The Holy Spirit told me I needed to go back to church. I needed to be in a community. I was even given the name of the church. I went 3 months later (I tease the Pastor the only sevice I was late to was my first one)

anyway I have been very blessed, my husband loves the chuch as well. I have a host of holy spirit filled believers that do outreach all over the city, usa, and world. He sends us places for a reason. We need to go to deeper waters, where all the fish are and not stand on the side getting a fish here and there. Church keeps me involved, excited, out of self. I am so grateful I showed up.

Thank your for your awesome work on this hub. With Love your sister in Christ.
