The WWE's John Cena - and a Review of 12 Rounds
64The WWE and Their Golden Boy
How can you not love John Cena? I don't even watch wrestling, and I think he is cute to a fault. Has that killer bod and that cute all american face. He is a great wrestler...unless he is going up against the Big Show...and sometimes Randy Orton...was a marine, and has crossed over into acting, he maintains that Boy Next Door persona...men want to be him, women want their men to be him. I loved 'The Marine', thought he did a great job, and every now and then I will catch a wrestling match. I was a little suprised when his new movie, 12 Rounds, was yanked from theatres after a dismal opening. So, not having gone to see it, I had to patiently wait for it to come out on DVD...finally, yesterday, it got here.
John Cena
And His Flop??
And My Opinion Is...
OK, so the movie itself was a little cheesy...but didn't it stand for everything that John Cena portrays. Love, Honor, Courage.....and Sexiness. I think if the movie had starred anyone else, I probably wouldn't have finished it. Instead, I cheered him on through his 12 Rounds, hoping he would get the love of his life back. Even though, realistically, we all knew he would. It's not like that has been another Seven, (Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Keven Spacey), since Seven. I was hoping for a little more skin, guess I'll have to go back to the WWE for that...but all in all, for a Cena movie, I didn't think it was that bad for his true fans.
So, I wish him luck Monday night...and I am proud to be part of the mass of women that drool when we look at him. And had I gone to his movie before it was so unceremoniously yanked from theatres, I would proudly say so. Mr. Cena, any movie you choose to flex your muscles, and grin your sweet grin, I will watch.
