Many years ago, we moved into a wonderful 100 year old house that needed a little remodeling. One day we started stripping old wallpaper from one fo the rooms, and our two oldest kids, Leia-age 5, and Dustin, age 4, were helping us and having a ball.
At one point, they had worked their way over to a window, and noticed that there were staples on the wall, all around the window frame. Most likely it was from a previous owner's attempt to staple plastic around to keep out the cold winter drafts.
But our kids had other ideas...as kids are prone to do.
Dustin, his eye wide with wonder, stared at those staples for a moment, then said:
"So THAT'S how they put wallpaper on--they staple it!"
Big sister Leia, who, at 5 years old, knew SO much more than her little brother, rolled her eyes at him, placed her hand on her hip as she cocked it to the side, and said:
"Well, what do you THINK they did....GLUED IT ON?"
Then, with a toss of her hair, she strutted away with a smug look on her face....
After my husband and I picked ourselves up off of the floor(from collapsing in fits of laughter) we told Leia, that yes, in fact, they DO glue it on---the rest of the day, she wasn't so quick with her all-knowing replies...lol

It's like the one when my son in kindergarden during a big thunder storm comforting the children that were frightened with "Don't worry it is God taking flash picture of us"(back then the bulbs made a big sound) the teacher told me "If he ever runs for pres. He's got my vote? Ha Ha :O) HUGS

It is amazing how stuff like this which happened so long ago can still have us falling about laughing.
