Diaper Deception
I am all for getting a good deal, but Walmart is taking it too far. I have been using Pampers brand diapers for my newborn and I was going to try a cheaper brand to see if it is just as good. Well I made the mistake of buying Walmart's brand of diapers. The package stated it had the elastic pull tabs just as the Pampers brand did, but upon using this "diaper" it has NO elastic stretch tabs, so the diaper fits awkwardly. To add salt to the wound, the diaper, I think, is made of paper. It holds absolutely no "liquid". Everytime he uses the diaper it soaks his clothes at the same time. I am now going to revert back to Pampers brand. I keep telling myself, I am not ever going to buy Walmart brand anything again...but I keep doing it!!!

My TV!!!
Ok, so on my attempt to stick with Walmart as a shopping venue (mostly because it is the only place to shop up here), I decided to try real name brands that Walmart sells. The product purchased was Polaroid Plasma TV w/dvd player about 5 months ago, and for the few past weeks the DVD player has not worked. It is the flat TV with a buit-in DVD player, and it is no longer working. C'mon it has only been 7 months..and it is not even a Walmart generic brand. I am so infuriated with the fact that even when you choose to spend more money and buy a good brand it is no good, too. I guess I'll be ordering a DVD player off the internet from a not-walmart company. Does Walmart specifically ask for the reject equipment to sell in their store OR does the companies make "cheap" brands for Walmart?
DVD issues
Just about every DVD I have bought from Walmart has a problem. Well let me correct that every disc, whether it is CD, DVD, or Video games. I have had problems with all of them. I am so tired of having to return them that I have just stopped buying them Walmart now. You really aren't getting anything for cheaper when you have to return the items multiple times and then customer service treats you as if you stole the disc, and let's face it Walmart isn't that cheap anymore. How crazy! Since Walmart started the return only 3 times, or whatever there return policy is now, I am skeptical about buying discs from them. It is so upsetting to get a movie home, start watching it and in the middle of the movie it locks up. Or even worse, you get your video game and then you get on Xbox Live and the game locks up!!! Oh well, that's our Walmart! Always Low Prices....and quality.

Having still not learned my lesson, I went to Wal-Mart to do some grocery shopping. Everything was fine until I got to the check out aisle. Now, mind you, I went in the morning to avoid the Walmart crowd. So the store was pretty much empty, why would a cashier already have an attitude? As I approached the cashier standing at the end of the line, she rolled her eyes when she saw me coming! Why would you stand at the end of the line looking inviting and open then when someone starts to walk towards you, you roll your eyes?
But anyway, I unload my groceries and she is doing my WIC items first and the milk is not ringing up WIC. Now I always, always do my WIC at Walmart, so I know what I can and can not purchase. This cashier tells me it is not a WIC item. I kindly advise her, I am sure there is some mistake because I always get this same exact milk (land o lakes, lactose free half gallon). She continues to constantly roll her eyes and look through papers, until another cashier sees what's going on, comes over and tells her "oh, yeah that milk has been messing up, you just have to get it over rided". I am thinking, Whew, problem solved...now ring me up and let me go. But....it doesn't work out that way. The cashier says (in front of me and loudly!) "this is land'o lakes, she ain't getting it, it's not ringing up and I am not getting anything over rided". I was floored, at a loss of words, dumbfounded!!!! I just couldn't believe it.
So a manager gets called over to the aisle and she advises the girl she will have to over ride all the milk and that it will fine. The cashier tells her, in a whisper this time....not on my register will you be over riding anything. Then the manager, who of course wants to work with the CASHIER, starts to question my milk. UNBELIEVABLE! So she tells me "ma'am I think you may have the wrong milk, that is not a WIC milk". Once again, I stand firm that, yes this is the same milk I always get. So the manager calls back to dairy and asks them about it. Of course, the dairy dept. confirms what I was saying...and in fact any of the lactose free they had would be used as WIC...then the manager, still set firm on the decision I wouldn't get this milk, says "well which one is the cheapest". To my happiness, they dairy dept says "Land O'lakes"! HA! I was glorified!
But you know Wal-mart, well their employees, can't give up without a fight. They (cashier and manager) continue to whisper under their breaths back and forth to one another. By this point, I was so embarrassed and upset, I felt like running out of the store, but I stood my ground with a polite smile on my face. Then when it was almost over...the manager says "it's a good thing this milk has long shelf life"...I said "excuse me, what do you mean". She then says "because you got a lot of milk, here!" How RUDE!
I was so mad, that I made sure to look at each names tags and upon reaching my house, I wrote a letter to Wal-mart. Well, this morning I recieved a telephone call from Wal-mart. They are giving me a gift card to make up for all the trouble. I will post about the amount and what happened when I went back to the store tomorrow.
What an awful experience!!!

Gift Card
For everyone who has been waiting in suspense to hear about my trip to Walmart yesterday. Here it is:
I got a 10.00 gift card from them, which I promptly used to buy something I really didn't need. So for that 10.00 gift card, I ended spending 15.00 of my own money at Walmart, and Walmart came out with more profit!!! Geez, what a racket........yet, great business sense on their part.

Walmart is the best, I'm really sorry for what happened but you can 't judge walmart based only on that incident, that would be unfair :P
