The responsibility of parents, society, and community leaders!

We don't need to dwell on all of the negative, connotations of being African-American, but let's suffice to say, that we are losing the war in the betterment of Black America! Black Americans suffer from the highest mortality rate in the world, (they die faster), the highest incidence of preventable diseases, highest alcohol, and drug rates, highest murder rate, highest incarceration rate, highest rate of uneducated, and the list goes, on, and on! To make matters worse, many African-American children are raised in one parent homes, with a mother (since the dad's aren't usually around), who either has to work several jobs to keep the family integrity, or many times, is uneducated, unskilled, unknowledgeable of life skills, a substance abuser, and is abused by many, varied sexual partners, and mates. This means that, either the children are left to raise themselves, or that, they are exposed to the most horrifying lives possible, which create those with no compassion, empathy, discipline, nor skills to survive in a civilized society! These children usually don't, and can't make it in school, they are uncivilized as the animal, left to fend for himself, without the guidance of elders. They become as wild animals, incapable of existing in a civilized society! The results, you can see and hear, on the news, TV, and any of the available media outlets, on a daily basis.

The system has no sympathy for these children, who have been left without the basic skills, to thrive in a civilized world. The legal/correctional system, is just an extension of the poor schools, which really act only as temporary detention centers, for the multitudes of children who will face incarceration, and worse. Many people believe that, everyone has the ability to chose right from wrong, as such they feel, that these children, deserve what they get. But, the reality is, these kids have no knowledge of anything usable, accept survival, in the jungle we call the ghetto! In this jungle, the children are abused and misused, at very young ages. From being spoken to, in the harshest street profanity, to being exposed to domestic violence, violence to themselves from family, or strangers, drug and alcohol abuse, exposure to perverted sexuality, and the acceptance of juvenile pregnancy, as if it were totally acceptable. This acceptance has created 14-15 year old mothers, who themselves, have no knowledge of parenting, defintely no father, or father figure, and their children are exposed to an even harsher existence, and the cycle goes, on, and on, but gets worse, and worse, with each cycle! The worse part is, that many people in the Black community totally accept these atrocoties, and see no problem with bringing their children up any ole way! Many have the nerve to try and hide what they do, and how they live, but they don't understand, the results from negative life, always show's!

This is why this writer has created the non-profit organization, Fountain of Youth, Preventive health, Inc., Phila/NJ. We intend to reverse this acceptance of negativity, in the Black community! No longer can we embrace being uneducated, being unhealthy, and unfit, having no manners, being violent, being a cigarette smoker, being an alcohol, and drug user, and whatever is accepted by the African-American community, at this point in time, we generally want to promote the opposite. It should be obvious to all, that whatever Black folks, have been doing overall, has been a failure. We can't look for help from others, they don't really care, but many do, and so we must reach out to those who have an interest in promoting excellence, for those who need it most, in the Black community.

We must educate the parents that, it's not all about you, but is more about your children! They didn't ask to be brought into this world, but now that they are here, fun and games are over for you, now it's the kids time. This is why we must make sure we teach our girls, respect for themselves, and the boys the same, and that sex too young, is wrong! We must begin to look at all our children as aspiring stars, and we are their agents. These children need the highest quality upbringing possible, for the highest possible result. There is no difference in the mental abilities of Blacks, Whites, or Asians. The Whites, and Asians, just generally have more efficient, nurturing homes, and tangible ways of bringing up their children, to get the most out of their abilities. In the ghetto, kids have no chance at such a life, they are denied numerous possibilities, by parents and a society that, doesn't care. We've got to teach right thinking to those, who haven't been taught right thinking, and that someone cares about their future lives. Too many of our boys aren't making it to 25, now is that logical? We've got to teach the boys, and the girls, that being a loser is not cool! Being a nobody, isn't the in thing! Violence, ignorance, unhealthiness, and all that negativity, is really "Played Out"! We've got to get these kids with the times, in spite of their parents, and others, so that, they can become the next generation of successful, and civilized, Black folks! We have decended from the great Kings and Queens of Africa, success and positive life, should be our only way!

We've got a long road ahead! Black children of today, are failing in life, and dying at astronomical rates, and it's not because we and they, are doing the right thing. It should be obvious to all that, whatever Black folks are doing right now, is a failure, we need "Change Now", just like the President says, but in the Black community, there is a true, "State of emergency". Now can we get you the community, and businesses of America, to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most? We surely can't do it alone!
