Well, here they are again - the winds of change. I have seen them before, but never quite in this capacity. I have had many life changes. Children have grown up and married, grandchildren have entered into my world; and I went from a wonderful career and ministry as a stay home mom to a wonderful career and ministry in Christian Education. God goes before me, there is no doubt. Only by Him am I where I am today. When he found me I was broken and tattered - unable to articulate my thoughts and feelings or believe in the possibility of being even a doorkeeper in the house of God. My dreams that once had felt bright like the moonlit night were washed out -  only to be passed over and covered by thick dark clouds. Then one day Jesus spoke light into my life and brought me out of the darkness, restored my dreams and gave me even newer vision.

For I am of . . . a people belonging to God, that I may declare the praises of him who called me out of darkness into his wonderful light.   1Peter 2:9

So to me, change is good. That doesn't mean I always like it, but that I recognize that when I am following Jesus change is what He wants to work in me - always change for my betterment and ultimately for His glory.

Well, I am writing to you, my HP friends, to share with you changes that are now taking place in my life.  At the end of July I sensed God asking me to give up my good paying, wonderfully fulfilling job as a Christian Education Director and begin to work on finishing my book.  This was a difficult decision for me to make, not only for the reasons I mentioned but also because I have loved this ministry to soldiers. 

So at the end of November I am shifting winds in my life and following what I believe God has called me to do.  Along with this is a Coffee House Ministry that my husband and I are beginning.  This is not a business, rather a home converted into a coffee house where free coffee if offered in Jesus name and where hopefully people who are not willing to set foot in a church will come and hear the Good News.  We plan to have poetry nights, music nights, open mic nights and other coffee house atmosphere kinds of things.  Pray for us and for me as this wind of change takes me down a new road.
