Tsunami
Tsunami is a female wrestler (or Luchadora) in Mexico.
She started out in the wrestling business because of her admiration of the late Eddie Guerrero.
Tsunami found a wrestling school and began training under Chuy Escobedo and his son Chuy Escobedo Jr.
She got the name " Tsunami" from her wrestling trainers because even though she is small (5' 6"), she has a lot of physical power.
To say this lady is rough is an understatement. She enjoys punishing and hurting her opponents so much, the fans have dubbed her "La Chica Kane", a female version of Kane.
Tsunami often teams with another famous (and vicious) "Ruda"or Heel known as La Chacala. Together they won the LLF Women's Tag Team Titles.
In line with her "power" status, Tsunami uses a variation of the F5, Chokeslams, Spinebusters and Stunners in her matches.
Besides the tag team titles she won with La Chacala, Tsunami has held the LLF Junior Women's Title, the Monterrey Women's Wrestling Title and she was named Rookie of the Year by the LLF in 2005.
Ayako Hamada
Ayako Valentina Hamada Villarreal is not only a famous Luchadora, but she is also famous in Japan.
Wrestling under the name Ayako Hamada, she has racked up an impressive list of titles during her career. Again, she comes from a long line of wrestlers. Her father is the legendary Gran Hamada, her sister is Xóchitl Hamada and her brother in laws are Tiger Mask IV and Pentagón Black. Not only is she related to wrestling royalty, she was trained by some of the best. Her father Gran Hamada, Gran Apache, Aja Kong and Mariko Yoshida. She made her professional wrestling debut on August 9, 1998, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. In Mexico she wrestles for Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion.
Cynthia Moreno
Cynthia (or Cinthia) Moreno was born Flavia Antonia Moreno León on July 23, 1970 in Mexico City, Mexico.
She comes from another big wrestling family. Alfonso Moreno is her father, El Oriental is her brother and Esther Moreno, Alda Moreno and Rossy Moreno are her sisters. She was trained by her father, Pepe Casas, Negro Casas and the Blue Panther. Like Ayako, Cynthia is famous both in Japan and Mexico. Cinthia made her pro wrestling debut in 1987 at the Arena Azteca Budokan in Japan. In Japan she has held the AJW Japanese Tag Team Wrestling Titles with her sister Esther Moreno and she has held the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship twice with her brother El Oriental.
La Diabolica
La Diabolica (The Diabolic One) is the second luchadora to wrestle under that name. The first La Diabolica is the mother of luchadora Tiffany, but isn't related to to the current wrestler.
She has wrestled under the names La Diabólica del Caribe, La Diabólica, La Pantera and La Felina. Gail Kim also once wrestled under the name La Felina in Mexico and North America. La Diabolica was trained by Jesse Rojas "El Vasco" ( the father and trainer of Luchadora Tiffany) and Charro del Misterio. You know with so many cross over relatives and trainers, I bet Lucha Libre wrestler's family reunions are a blast. Anyway, La Diabolica made her pro wrestling debut on June 1986 in Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico. She has held the National Women's Wrestling Title, the CMLL World Women's Wrestling Title twice and the Metropolitan Female Wrestling Championship.
Mistica
Juany Torres is a female Mexican Luchadora better know by her ring name Mistica.
Mistica was born on September 23 (year unknown) in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
She made her pro wrestling debut on February 17, 1999.
She started out wrestling masked, but lost her mask in a "Hair versus Mask" tag team match at Arena Coliseo De Monterrey to Black Dragon and Dulce Polly.
Estrellita
Mexican Luchadora Estrellita (Little Star), was born Viviana Ochoa Barradas on October 18, 1977, in Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico. Again, as with a lot of Lucha Libre stars, she comes from a wrestling family. Luchadore Rafael Barradas is her grandfather, Flama Solar is her cousin and she was once married to Psicosis II (Psicosis AAA). She was trained by the Lucha Libre legends, El Hijo del Gladiador, Ringo Mendoza and Gran Apache. "La Britney Spears de la Lucha" made her pro wrestling debut on February 26, 1993 at the Auditorio Municipal de Amecameca in Mexico State. I know the " Britney Spears" gimmick is very popular down there, but I think it might be time to drop it.
Lola González
María Dolores González was born on March 2, 1959 in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. She is better known in Lucha Libre as Lola González. Lola was trained by the legendary Gory Guerrero (the father of WWE great Eddie Guerrero) and Dorado Hernández. She made her pro wrestling debut on July 17, 1975 at the Ciudad de Nuevo Casas Grandes in Chihuahua. An interesting fact about Lola, in "School Rumble" a Japanese manga/anime series, the character Lala Gonzalez is based on Lola.
La Sirenita
Guadalupe Buye Peña was born on March 17, 1961, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She is better known to Lucha Libre fans as La Sirenita (Little Mermaid). Sirenita was trained by René Guajardo and made her pro wrestling debut in April of 1981 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. She has held the Distrito Federal Women's Wrestling Title, the National Women's Wrestling Title (twice), the National Women's Tag Team Wrestling Titles (with La Rosa) and the TWF Women's Wrestling Title.
Aurora
Aurora is another Canadian Wrestler (Like Sarah Stock / Dark Angel) that has had great sucess in Lucha Libre. Her pro wrestling debut was on February 18, 2005. She has wrestled for Consejo De Lucha Libre Independiente,Federation Femenil De Lucha Libre,Lucha Libre Feminil and Arena Coliseo.
Miss Janeth
Janet Fragoso Alonso was born on January 14, 1973 in Mexico City, Mexico. She is a female professional wrestler better know in Lucha Libre as Miss Janeth. And it's pronounced Jeanette, not Janet. Miss Janeth was trained by her sister Zuleyma, Raúl Reyes and Pepe Casas. She made her pro wrestling debut on February 25, 1990, at the Arena Coliseo in Mexico City. Her nickname in Lucha Libre is La Bruja (The Witch) and in early 2007 she teamed with Tiffany and Rossy Moreno to form a trio known as Las Brujas. She held the UWA World Women's Wrestling Championship twice ( the first time she won the title, she beat her sister Zuleyma for it) and was Reina de Reinas (Queen of Queens) in 2006.
Lady Apache
Lady Apache was born on June 26, 1970 in Mexico City, Mexico. She has a fairly large extended family in the Mexican wrestling world. Electro Shock is her husband, Brazo de Oro and Gran Apache are both ex-husbands and Fabi and Mari Apache are her former step daughters. Apache was trained by her former husband Gran Apache, Pepe Casas and Raúl Reyes. She made her pro wrestling debut on June 30, 1986. She has held the Distrito Federal Women's Wrestling Title, the CMLL World Women's Wrestling Title twice, the AAA Reina de Reinas Title, the National Women's Wrestling Title twice and the AAA Mixed Tag Team Wrestling Titles with Electro Shock. Interestingly, Lady Apache actually beat her husband Electro Shock in a hair vs hair match on March 21st 2004, and he had to shave his head.
