The World's Economy Revolves Around Oil
54What are we going to leave behind for our children and our grandchildren? How will they survive?
The global economy is based on the price of oil, crude oil, which is used to make petroleum (petrol or gasoline), kerosine and diesel fuel. And that natural crude oil is one area where it always has been a sellers market. The huge requirement for oil and oil-based products in the US and other developed countries puts us all at the mercy of the world's big oil producers.
When you realize there are presently approximately 6.5 billion people on this planet. And if every one of those persons made an effort to save gas by buying one of the fuel-efficient cars that save on gasoline consumption, the worldwide savings would be well worthwhile.
A smaller requirement for fossil fuels or more action changing to alternative fuels such as bio ethanol or bio diesel might just manage to let the the oil tycoons know that we motorists are tired of being taken for every last dollar by greedy suppliers.
One possible result might be lower gasoline prices. And that would alter the price of each and every consumer product being sold throughout the world.
When you think that every single thing we buy is transported from the raw material manufacturer, to the factory, from there to a storage warehouse, and then to a retail outlet, before it ever gets anywhere near to our homes. If those vehicles were using cheaper fuel, or if we had more fuel-efficient cargo vehicles, the price of shipping and the retail price of the item on the shelf in the store, could be reduced accordingly.
Then if we make a cooperative effort to buy cars for ourselves that get more mpg, we could effectively take a little bit of power away from those big oil companies and return it back to us, the consumers. But this will only happen if we all do things like this.
If the high cost of gas is not enough of a reason to alter your motoring lifestyle, consider that our supplies of oil and gas are strictly limited. We are just beginning to run out. And one day before too long, there will be no more petroleum, gasoline or diesel fuel. And then we will be forced to to seek different forms energy or go back to the middle ages.
Food for thought? And if so, would you care to make a comment (below), or read more about this...

With everyone worried about the cost of fossil fuels and their limited availiblity, I thought it might be a good idea to look at diesel engine powered cars, and compare the diesel gas mileage to that of regular gasoline-powered motor cars.
