Just eating one food item will fill all your calories needs not only for the day but for a few days and is rightly named the No.1 Worst Food in America.

In their article, Men’s Health names “Outback Steakhouse Aussie Cheese Fries with Ranch Dressing” as the No. 1 Worst Food in America.

Aussie Cheese Fries has a massive 2,900 calories, 182 grams fat and 240g carbs.

Even if you are unable to eat the whole thing and split it with friends or family, you still will have high calories more than the daily requirement. And since not everyone eats just fries, so if they have a steak, other side items, dessert, then it may exceed 3,500 calories for one meal.

Here is the sample recipe of Aussie Cheese Fries. In the actual recipe Outback restaurant uses fresh potatoes not frozen fries.

Ingredients:

• 1 (2 lb) bag of frozen French fries

• 1 cup shredded colby-monterey jack cheese (An excellent suggestion is to use the cheese that is labeled as "Taco Cheese", cheese for Tacos.)

• 6 pieces bacon, cooked

Directions:

1. Divide the fries into half, and use the other half later.

2. Heat oil to 350 degrees.

3. If you do not have a thermostat, make sure the oil is hot enough, so that when you set a French fry in there it will cook immediately.

4. If the French fry sinks to the bottom, and barely bubbles, it is not hot enough.

5. Fry the potatoes in small batches, they are done when they are golden brown, and float to the top of the skillet.

6. Be sure to drain the potatoes on paper towels.

7. You can keep them warm in the oven while the other fries are done.

8. When all French fries are done cooking, and drained place them onto a platter.

9. Salt the French fries if you like, and sprinkle on cheese and cooked bacon.

10. Pop these back into a warm oven until the cheese begins to melt.

It may look tempting but watch out for the calories. If you still want to eat this Cheese Fries, then Men’s Health suggests starting the meal with a high protein dish like the Seared Ahi or the Shrimp on the Barbie.

Fast Foods look lame compared to this.

I dunno--it sounds pretty ghastly to me--think I'll pass, but I like the hub. Amazing how many calories are in this stuff---thanks for the info.

Thanks Robie, too much but we can eat it once in a while maybe a small portion if it tastes good.

That is insane. I consume between 1700 to 2200 calories a day, maybe a bit more if I work out extra. I'd rather use my calories wisely with lots of yummy foods than this insane dish.

I agree Stacie, we can do the same thing with healthy dishes.
