Bananas contain the following: pantothenic acid, potassium, dietary fiber, protein, carbohydrates, sugars and many other minerals in significant amounts or as trace elements. This also includes vitamins A, B6, C and E.

My doctor in fact prescribed a banana daily to prevent cramping. When I was young, my parents always gave me bananas whenever I had diarrhea. I know bananas can do much more. A favorite joke among my friends is that bananas cure pimples and acne. When asked why and how ,,, we reply by saying that we have never ever seen a monkey with pimples or acne (rotfl).

Kidding aside, bananas are often ascribed to as a wonder cure for many illnesses and ailments. I found this link. also the source of the abovementioned enumeration of components in bananas, that would hopefully prove useful http://www.finetuneyou.com/Bananas.html.
