The Costa Del Sol is known for it’s lovely beaches and lively resorts but it is also home to some more up market and fashionable resorts such as Marbella, Puerto Banus and Estepona. These resort have some impressive ground for keen shoppers to cover!

Whilst an assortment of gift shops and locally produced items can be found in many of the lively ‘young’ resorts, more high fashion shops can be found in Marbella.

Puerto Banus
Puerto Banus

The cosmopolitan town of Puerto Banus is home to stores such as Louis Vuitton, Just Cavalli and Christian Dior to name a few. Puerto Banus is an extremely popular choice for the young and wealthy celebrity types. The harbour area in particular is extremely rich with its expensive yachts and small cafes. Most of the high end designer boutiques can be found on the main line next to the harbour.

Marbella itself also has high end designers and boutiques such as Gucci and Versace, however Marbella also offers familiar shops such as Zara and Mango which can be found on the British high street.

Estepona has the new ‘Laguna Village’ shopping complex. This complex is very trendy and has names such as Just Cavalli and Escada along with many other Spanish favourites. Laguna Village also has lots of fashionable bars where you can indulge in a cocktail or to after a hard days shopping.

Also situated at Laguna Village is Puro Beach, where you can rent a sunbed for the day which comes with a plate of cold fruit, towels, a smoothie and some aftersun- very luxurious! If this isn’t enough pampering massages are also available from the comfort of your own sunbed!

The good thing about all of these resorts is that they are fairly close together so during one stay it would be possible to visit each of these locations for the ideal shoppers holiday. Spain I still a favourite with British holiday makers and with all the budget airlines flying into Malaga it is a lot more affordable.
