This is like taking a walk on the wrong side of the street, except no one told you that it's the wrong side and that you need to beware of an 'interesting' bunch of facts, and let's not forget that it's suddenly not a drink, dinner, dancing and maybe a quick kiss. Now it seems to be drinks, dinner (you pay half), no one over 30 seems to dance anymore, preferring to sit and get slowly pissed and then it seems to be taken for granted that they will automatically be gaining entrance to your sanctuary.. What is that about?? Then you have to figure out how to extract yourself from it, unless you're me...I have found that I can be quite brutal.. I have friends who say quite innocently that they are nipping to the ladies and then leave..as they pointed out - they have paid for their drinks and don't have to worry about anything...then there's the 'competition' the younger generation wearing very little, doing as they please in order to get free drinks - while your date suggests that' you would look good in that'. I usually come home and think a) I could have stayed in and watched anything, b) why am I doing this to myself and c) I wonder where the chocolate is??
