Making life simple.
Making life simple.

and only way

I have been using this simple technique for a very long time now and have taught many PC users these simple tips to make your life easier and save so much time...Life's too short right!!

My motto, "there's always an easier way" so why do something that takes a few seconds when it can be done in less than one!? When you think about this principle in the long term, minutes become hours! and days will become weeks thats lost in time wasting! Save more time!

This simple tutorial will help you access any program on your PC, fast, with your eyes closed, and once you have set things in place which i will show you, you will be able to teach a one year to do! I have proved this and you can too!.

I will also teach you how to open as many tabs within your browser asyou like with just two keyboard clicks!!

There are many ways to access programs on your PC..You either manually search for a program, from the start, programs menu using either your mouse or Keyboard, (keyboard is always quicker). Or you try finding it on your desktop amongst the hundreds of icons and double click on it! Or, you have placed a short-cut to the program in the (quick launch area) which only requires one click (after careful navigation)! Not all these can be done very easily OR by a one year old and the following tips will certainly make computing more easier and quicker for you..

1st: How to access programs fast!

Decide on programs you open up often. Lets say for example the program you have chosen is "paint"...Now "right click" on "start" menu and "open"...Now drag the program icon from your desktop into this folder! (You can create another shortcut for the program.. This means you will still have access to this program from the desktop..If the program not on your desktop, go to its location and "right-click" then "send to desktop create a shortcut" ..Now drag this icon into the "start menu folder..Now re-mname it to 1paint..The next step....

To access this program fast and in just two keyboard control, press the "windows" key and (1) not together. Noe Paint Shoul open up.. Your Done!

2: How to open Multiple browser tabs using similar principle!

Mozillas Firefox Browser: Which is my favorite!..To open up as many browser tabs as you want will use the same principle above..You will first need to create a folder in your Bookmarks of all the sites you want to open..Once you have done this...Click on "tools" then "Options"... Click the "main" tab..You will see "When Firefox starts"..From the (drop down list) Choose "show windows and tabs from last time" . Now, open up Firefox as normal, you should now see all your favorite tabs opening up..Now close Firefox and Add Firefox to the start menu using the same technique described above in How to access programs.

Internet Explorer: Click on "tools" "Internet options" click on the "general tab" .. You will now see an option to create home page tabs..Its here you add all your favorite sites you want to open..Click OK. Done!! Now place this icon in your "start folder"..To access this fast and in just two keyboard controls, press the "windows key" and "I" (not together) If any other program is named with a "I" it will not open in one keyboard click, so the name change the name to "ZInternet Explorer" ..I doubt there will be any program beginning with Z!!..Now press windows then Z ... Done!;)

Opera: Click on "Tools" "preferences"..In the "general tab"..It says "Opera can start with your favorite web-pages or continue from last time"... In the drop down list, choose "continue from last time"..Now place the Opera program using the How to access programs tips above to the start menu.

How i taught my friends one year..I installed an aquarium screen-saver on My friends PC.. i then placed the Aquarium program icon in the start menu folder using the How to access programs fast tips above. I named it "zfish"..I then placed two little colored stickers on the start key and Z key..I then showed him which 2 keys to press first which he did very easily! much to the delight of mom:)

Now you have no excuse!..;)

Good ones, I use the Firefox tips but not the other ones, sounds cool. I do it differently, I right click the mouse and choose Toolbars --> Quick Launch, in there I add the most frequent programs and click them.

Keyboard shortcuts are indeed a faster way of navigating one's computer. I hadn't ever thought of opening my favorite tabs upon opening Firefox though...
