Good, Bad, Ugly Television?

From superman to superstar lover...

TV takes you through the tangles and fuzzy logic...
TV takes you through the tangles and fuzzy logic...

What's the good...bad and ugly side of Television? TV...it's like going to a gunfight!

To whet your appetite, you're not going to load your bullets, just sit back and relax in the comfort of your home...

You'll get to see a rich variety of behaviors, and feel an intense infusion of human endeavours with a great diversity of characters.

There are also surprises...

How about blog talk radio?

You're going to get a complete history that will challenge everything you think you know about yourself!

Hmmm...think about it for a moment, and I'm sure you'll agree life would be pretty strange without those compelling emotions in your life.

If you and all consumers bought only practical things, like the things you need for physical survival...then the world would be a much different place.

There would be no TV, radio or movies...what would you say about that?

There'd be no need for beauty or hair salons, exotic dancers, daycare spas, designer fashions or expensive watches or jewelry...

Look, there'd be no need for driving, golf, luxury homes, motorcycles, muscle cars, jet skis, snowmobiles or toys of any kind.

Instead of buying cars, we'd all be walking, riding horses or bicycles or riding some form of government accredited transport, lol...

All we'd really need is basic food requirements, shelter from the elements, an empty coconut shell to store water, and a way to cook food...

Perhaps, we'd just eat raw foods.

So why are all these fantasties, amusements, conveniences and luxuries of modern life indispensible to us?

And why do we spend just about every dollar we earn and then borrow some until we're deperately in the red...or should I say blue in the face to buy stuff we don't even need?

Because it's healthy interactive drama and good entertainment?

You see, we have this driving force and powerful grey matter between our ears, an evolving brain, and we also have a soul.

A brain, body and soul... attached to a whole range of emotions about ourselves and everything in our world.

And we have a need is to fulfill those desires and dreams - and to express those fears and frustrations.

These are every bit as compelling to us as our hunger, our thirst and our desire to be sheltered from the elements.

We need to love and be loved...to belong...to be respected or even admired... to be proud of our accomplishments.

And we crave relief from the things that we fear and the things that frustrate us.

And so, if tv fills those gaps and provides the things we spend money on, then we're buying to fill an emotional need...

Now, I'd like to tell you that the ONLY way to happiness is to learn all these things and that's to buy my new book, lol.

But that wouldn't be true, and it wouldn't be right, simply because your life is a truly valuable personal experience

And by the time you've got to the finish line...

You'd probably already forgotten about some of the past history, and the most powerful life changing experiences or lessons you've ever learned...

So tv...good or bad has a finger itching result, and it is there to remind you to click the button and change the channel.
