Is there really a history behind Saint Valentines?

I'm no good in all histories i know, not my cup of tea. And the Saints? I was never brought up with the knowledge of all the saints and their names. To idolize these saints and give honour to them is exactly the opposite of what I know. They are no gods. What about the greek & roman godesses, that's literature for all i know, another story.

Its quite fun though watching love flicks with cupid touch which are all invented by man. Everything that is created by man, we could never offer our glory to.

Traditionally, we celebrate this ocassion every 14th of the month, a month of LOVE. Why dont we make it a tradition to be Feb 14 everyday, that makes more sense.

Why dont we call it HEART's Day instead. If its just Valentines, I wont buy it. I will bypass all the saints. I'll go straight to LOVE, I'll go straight to JESUS.

God is LOVE, He is the way, the TRUTH & the LIFE. No one comes to the Father except through JESUS.
