If over many years there will be some saints that will be able to write a modern Bible , an important chapter should be about the "birth" of the Internet. I could imagine how one of the phenomenon explanations would sound like ...

Around year 2000 when humans were more and more unhappy , and nothing would please them enough, not even the things that before would have made them very happy, God decided to offer them a fascinating gift , that everyone could use , the children , the adults , the elders , the black and the white , the poor and the wealthy . An universal gift , that would help people have easier access to knowledge , one of their biggest needs. A gift that would bring people closer , because of the possibility of unlimited communication over big distances. At the beginning people were so happy to receive such a gift that they did not sleep many many nights. They wanted to discover more and more. People could not wait to meet their friends, colleagues, wives and husbands to share and explore together this infinite universe , the Internet. When God saw the happiness of the people he decided to make his gift accessible anywhere, at work , at home , at school and even on the streets , offering many many hot-spots.

After a while , after it became a daily habit , as common as brushing the teeth ! people lost their initial enthusiasm and slowly transformed the holy gift into immediate answers to their complexes , frustrations and the unhappiness that thy started to feel again , this time even stronger.

People started to read more and more, more than ever : thousands of pages of text, with hundreds of thousands of characters , blogs and forums. Women could not wait to go online to have their usual chat , men opened their eyes in the morning at the sound of the banner ad on the sites that offered them complete results of the matches played a night before. The teen were so anxious to see the latest porn clip on their favorite tube site. The companies were launching all kinds of online services to please the people. One day a company came up with a project , that had an extremely high success. It proposed people to forget about their real life , that anyway many were not so pleased of , and get a Second Life online , a virtual life m in witch happiness seem more accessible.

When God saw how the people received his gift , he decided that time should compress , the life of humans should become shorter so they would not have time for anything , to suffer on every plan because of this.

Then people stopped from their insane run, they put away their remote controls , they shut down their PC`s , and escaped into the nature again, to re-find themselves. People started reading books again, a thing that relaxed them in the past , they realized that the books offer them the real relaxation from lecture. They again found the patience to listen and understand each other, the patience to grow their children properly, surrounding them with lots of love.

God liked what He saw so he prepared a new gift for the people ...
