Though her birth name is Destiny Hope, she now goes by the name Miley. Her father is Billy Ray Cyrus, a well-known country singer and her mother is Tish Cyrus. After watching her father's career, Miley decided to start acting, and made a small appearance on her dad's tv show "Doc" in 1993. She also appeared as Ruthie (Age 8) in the 2003 movie "Big Fish". Miley now stars in Disney Channel's new show "Hannah Montana", along with her dad. Since starting Hannah Montana, Miley has put out two albums for the show, both did extremely well, she's also gone on tour with the Cheetah Girls and is now on tour with the Jonas Brothers. There have been rumors of a film and her also being included in another Disney instant hit high school musical.
Rumors began flying around that Cyrus was pregnant. The cause of the rumor was an image of a page of J-14 Magazine circulating on the Internet and saying among other things "Miley herself confirmed the pregnancy rumors during a J-14 interview". J-14 immediately responded saying that, "Someone doctored the "This Just In" article that appeared on page 16 of J-14's July 2007 issue" and that "this story is completely fabricated!"

Miley Cyrus (named Destiny Hope Cyrus) was born on November 23, 1992 in Nashville Tennessee to Billy Ray Cyrus (actor/country singer) and Leticia Finley. She has five siblings: Christopher, Braison Chance, Noah Lindsey, Brandy and Trace. [Quick fact: her father nicknamed her Miley because he thought that since she was a baby she never stopped smiling.] She had always admired her father and the way he performed in front of an audience and had always wanted to do so. She received her first acting role in 2003, playing opposite her father in the TV series Doc. She then appeared in episodes of other shows. Later that year she had her big screen debut in the movie Big Fish, playing a young Ruthie. In 2006 her family moved to Los Angeles and after many interviews and call-backs she received her break-out role as Hannah Montana/Miley Stewart in the Disney Channel hit Hannah Montana. The show has been a big hit for Disney. Miley has recently signed a four album contract with Hollywood Records. The Hannah Montana Soundtrack will hit stores in on October 24, 2006. Three years later, at eleven years old, she auditioned for Hannah Montana. She was too young and too small for the part at the time. She kept asking for more second chances and more audtions, and finally, after two years of fighting, she earned the role of Miley Stewart on Disney Channel's hit sitcom.
Popularity for Miley came with the success of Hannah Montana. It is the second most popular television show among tweens (American Idol coming in first). The show's soundtrack made it onto the Billboards chart and stayed at number one for two weeks in a row.
So what can we see in the future from this very talented girl? She has a small cameo role in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical 2. She will also be starring in a remake of the 1989 film, Adventures in Babysitting, with Raven-Symone, and Miley's Hannah Montana co-star, Mitchel Musso, has announced that there will be a Hannah Montana movie. Seems like we'll definitely be seeing a lot of her in the future.
