Yeh, me too! I dig this guys work alot.
I liked your first personal favorite the best. Watching Leonid paint with his palate knife was fun. What a great discovery. Thanks for showcasing his work. Welcome to hubpages!
Thank you.
Thank you for introducing me to Afremov. I did not know his works. What's of equal interest to me is his background. I'll have to think on all of that for a while.
Thumbs up.
Hi Sally, thanks for the feedback. I hope you enjoy his work in the future.
I see the similarities between the thick brush strokes, the strong color but I don't know about "the next Van Gogh" tag. Alfremov's works look more impressionist than expressionist. But that's just my opinion, of course. Thanks for sharing. An inside look into a artist's life is always an interesting read. :D
Cris, thanks for taking the time to drop by. I greatly appreciate your wisdom and critique of my hub. You are always "Welcome" to hang out in my corner of the world! Thanks again.
Afremov uses oil paints with a palette knife. He is one of the rarest artist who has mastered this technique. Nice job on the mention of him. Also Afremov's website holds daily live art auctions from 1-2pm ESt so if anyone is interested in getting a great piece of art work, just sayin.

Well as a Van Gogh lover, I can see the resemblance to his work.
He seems to love the same method of painting as I do.I like the palette knife for applying paint as well.:)
