The oil and economy
55The oil companies and our economy below 5000
I was reading a story on Bloomberg tonight. The story was how OPEC is going to cut production and a barrel of oil will rise to $50. Economist are projecting the economy to fall below 5000 points. Well I know I have saying the bottom would be 5000 and the economy would recover then. However I see the price per barrel raise as a negative. Remember when a barrel was around $145-$150 and at the pump price were rocketing towards $6 a gallon and in some places it broke the $6 range? I hope OPEC remembers how the largest consumer of its oil most of that consumers citizens stopped driving. And it cut their profits drastically. I am sure those who control the oil fields are not dumb. If they want huge profits driving up the price oil is not the way to do it. Unless of course their trying to help the U.S government push for alternative energy and then the oil producing countries will lose a ton of profit. I doubt the countries who produce this oil can handle a major loss of profit. Some countries depend on the U.S to buy oil and help their economy. Stupidity is not the answer.
As for the economy I can see the Dow Jones fall to 5000 points. That then would correct and go positive. I think if the markets fall below 5000 points this economy is in real deep trouble. I am not trying scare anyone, but I truly think this. If or when the Dow falls below 5000 expect a drop to zero. 5000 points is a key. I believe that our economy could have a chance to fall into a deep very deep depression.Much like that of the 1929 crash but in modern day it will be much worse. Now please don't think I am against the economist they are professionals. However I can trust them as much as I trust the weatherman.
There are a few other ways that can help create income into the country. I really can't say what it really is because I can not promote it, I will say it starts with a G and ends with a G. All I have to say is if IT were legal the U.S government could give these businesses a license and they could collect taxes on the winnings of IT. I know as of right now It is illegal and we are paying other countries well right now one country $31 million a year. Even if your against IT your paying for IT. Since 2006 when IT was fully made illegal two countries Antigua and the U.K. had gone to the World Trade Organization to over turn the U.S law. The WTO agreed with these countries, that it is illegal to stop free trade of goods and services. But if the U.S. does not comply the WTO has the right to sanction fines on the U.S. I as an American believe IT is ok and I do not want my tax dollars going to these countries for ruining their trade. Plus I think IT would be a stimulus, people who win would spend some the money on paying off bills, going to the stores and buying up goods. Thus creating an economic boom. The bank also win in this because if you use your credit card or debit card the banks charge for the offshore purchase. Lets add about $.85 per purchase, time at this very moment 4 million users. That creates $34 million in revenue for the banks. If IT gets legalized lets say 8 million estimated users, IT would create $68 million in revenue for the banks. Now with those 8 million users who win an estimated $1000 and gets taxes 1% per $1000 won.The US would generated approximately $8 billion a year and this could be used for school funding, road work funding, or other projects that are needed.
I also think that legalizing and taxing THIS. THIS is already being used by quite alot people. THIS does not kill people. People kill people. Just ask Micheal Phelps, I mean he did win 8 gold medals.
If everyone in this country of ours who pays taxes and is feeling the pinch of dying economy that the great George W Bush put us in, would contact their elected federal officials and tell them to legalize THIS and IT,we could possibly recover from this depression we are in. But we all need to see the good and not the so called bad. Both of these together could create a ton of jobs, also add in the fair tax and we the US recover almost in an instant.
Just something for you to think about. Just take a look at were our economy is at the end of the week and see if these two ideas would help. Open the mind to see it clearly. IT is no different than those who gambled their life savings and 401 K's away in the stock markets.
