A loss which no man should

ever have to feel

at the moment of seeing his child

lowered into the earth

in a tiny casket

is the pain of a fathers loss

as he sheds his most sorrowful heart felt tears

at the loss of his child

knowing that never again

will that young life

will he ever have the opportunity

to feel those tiny fingers

with in his hands as he rocks his child to sleep

after a nightmare to protect from the world

to teach the ways of life love and raise to be the best that they can be

this is the pain of a fathers loss. to that which is of him to never be again
