Awesome battery for a Smartphone

If there's a phone that I would recommend to a friend that he/she can use for business, I would recommend the Sony Ericsson P1. It's got a good all around feature and useful applications that smartphones have. The connectivity feature is also fast and efficient because you can connect easily and anywhere (as long as network provides). The phone has got a good number of best mobile phone cashback deals but you can also compare free line rental Sony Ericsson P1 mobile deals so you can get better results and save money. Well, I can say a lot of good things about the Sony Ericsson P1 but let's take a look at its specs and see what it can offer.

Design:

  • The P1 has a solid bar design, pretty straight forward and only 106 x 55 x 17 mm in size.

  • It is only 124 grams, feels solid and feels much lighter than the N95.

  • The phone only has one color theme, a silver and black combination.

  • The P1 has a good sized screen; it is a 262k Color touchscreen in 240 x 320 pixels resolution.

  • The touch screen is responsive and the P1 includes a stylus so you can easily navigate the menus or write messages since its got a Handwriting Recognition functionality.

Camera:

Even if the P1 is a business oriented phone, it's got a pretty good camera to show off.

  • It has a 3.2 Megapixel Camera quality, takes clear and detailed shots.

  • 3 x Digital Zoom and Photo Light make's sure you capture what you need to.

Messaging and calling:

Being a business focused phone, the P1 is an excellent device for communication to rely on.

  • The phone supports SMS (Text Messaging) and MMS (Multimedia Messaging).

  • You can send and receive Email, there's also Push Email functionality which is very convenient.

  • You can also make SMS Long. Predictive Text Input let's you make messages even faster.

  • The Sony Ericsson P1 has a Tri Band Technology using GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 and UMTS 2100 frequency system.

  • It has Video Call and it is great on the P1.

  • Since business calls are important, it is also good if you can "see" who you're talking to.

Multimedia:

The Sony Ericsson P1 doesn't just stop at being useful in business situations but also in times you need entertainment too.

  • It has a Media Player.

  • Has an FM Radio.

  • You can watch online videos via Video Streaming feature on the P1.

Connectivity and Internet capability:

  • The phone has 3G connectivity; low end compared to others but it's got a WLAN to cope up with the weakness.
  • As for transferring files to PC or another phone, it has Bluetooth, USB and Infra Red (which is really helpful when you are confronted with older technologies which only accept Infra Red).

  • The phone has RSS Feeds which keeps you up-to-date.
  • The phone has a pre-installed Opera Web browser.

Applications and OS:

It is important for a business phone to have a fast processing time, as for the Sony Ericsson P1, it is pretty good.

  • It is a useful phone for business users as it has Document Editors and Document Readers.

  • The phone runs in Symbian OS, a very successful system but like everything is, it also has its weaknesses.

Battery and memory:

For a phone to be really useful it has to have a strong battery power and this is why the Sony Ericsson P1 beats other Smartphones.

  • It has a hardworking battery that can last up to 10 hrs of talk time or 440 hrs standby time, now tell how useful is that?

  • And as for the memory, the P1 has a basic memory of 160MB, pretty decent but if you're going to put a lot of files or songs then you'd better get a Memory Stick Micro as the P1 supports this.

Overall, for having a strong battery and good overall features, the Sony Ericsson P1 is the ideal phone to have.
