Look into my eye

Surgery or glasses

So many of us are looking for the perfect look. Now we are also searching for the perfect vision. It is not enough to just look good anymore, we need to see good too. Glasses has always an option that we usually didn't like. Lasik surgery has now become an option and seems millions of people would prefer the route.

There are some things you should know about when it comes to that procedure. The price for 20/20 vision will cost you up in the thousands. Like with all surgeries there are risks of side effects good and bad. Here are a few of the bad ones for example.

  • Sensitivity to light
  • blurred vision
  • night-glares
  • dry eyes

These and other side effects are mainly temporary. The possibility of total loss of vision is slim, but can happen. That is the only permanent side effect. Only about 5% of patients suffer from these side effects. The procedure itself only takes about 15 minutes to perform entirely.

Wearing glasses have never suited many people. The fact that the were needed to improve their vision was just that. Owning a pair seem to be more trouble than help. There are pitfalls to having to get glasses. Such as the ones below.

  • Trying not to break them
  • keeping up with their where about
  • Taking on the teasing and name calling
  • keeping them clean and scratch free

Then came contact lenses and although they improved you look with you sight they had their pitfalls too.

  • Having to take them out and then put the back in
  • trying not to lose them also was a problem
  • Cleaning them
  • Buying solution

So no matter what the solution to your vision problem maybe. You are going to have some sort of side effect. So just make sure you have weighed all the options before deciding which way to go.
