She was just sixteen when she sang this song of Over The Rainbow for which she is best remembered for... This recording is ranked as the number one movie song of all time in the American Film Institutes's "100 Years, 100 Songs" list. among 3 other songs of hers.

Israel Kamakawiwo'ole known as "The Gentle Giant" was born May 20, 1959 in Hawaii, USA. He was a Hawaiian musician who became world famous with this song from his album Facing Future which was released in 1993."Over the Rainbow" when was released in 1993 and is my favorite version.... He died of weight-related respiratory on June 26, 1997 aged 38 and since his death this song has become extremely popular all over the world.
