Before I list these, I want to make something clear. I am mostly familiar with his 60's/70's music, so this list may be a little biased in that way. On with the list!

1. The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan- This album is fabulous from start to finish. It is the true "protest" album. It is all acoustic, much like his other albums from this time. Some of my favorite songs from the album are "Girl from the North Country" and "Bob Dylan's Dream."

2. Blonde on Blonde- This album gets me rockin! I love the electric guitar throughout the whole thing, especially on "Obviously 5 Believers." This album has some of the best songs Bob Dylan has ever recorded. "Just Like A Woman," "I Want You," and "Rainy Day Women #12 and 35" (or "Everybody Must Get Stoned," as everybody else knows it) Probably my favorite album of his

3. Nashville Skyline- This album is kinda short, and hearing it you really wouldn't think it's Bob Dylan singing. His voice is so different than in his prior albums. This is his country crossover album in my opinion. A lot of people called him a sellout when this album was released, but I totally disagree. There are some great songs on here, including "Lay Lady Lay," and "I Threw It All Away." Who could forget the duet he sang with Bob Dylan on "Girl from North Country?" Fantastic!

4. Bringing It All Back Home- This is the legendary album where Bob Dylan went from acoustic to electric. And man, what a change! Some of the greatest songs he's ever recorded are on here: "Subterranean Homesick Blues," "Mr. Tambourine Man," and "It's All Over Now Baby Blue." I am still partial to his acoustic songs, but the electric ones aren't bad either, like "Outlaw Blues."

5. Blood on the Tracks- I really did not like this album for a long time, but as I got older I started to appreciate it a little more. This album is superb. I can see why the critics ate it up! It is labeled as his divorce album, full of songs about heartbreak and love lost. An example of this is "If You See Her, Say Hello," which still brings a tear to my eye when I listen to it. This album also features "Tangled Up in Blue," another classic Dylan song. His style of songs is different on this album. I don't really know what it is, but whatever it is, it works!
