The trick-or-treat dilemma: Handing out candy vs. other treats

Well, Candy and Money seem to be the most sought out goodies. But what you pass out is really up to you. These are gifts! So I feel that no one should dictate what kind of gifting that you will be giving!

If you know a few of your neighbors as friends or have friends and family that will visit your house. You might want to get a few nicer items just for them! Again it is really up to you!

I have seen a number of many different things passed out through the years! Things like:

1. Flavor Ice ( not frozen ) they take them home and pop them in the freezer!
2. Religious Tracks
3. Coins *Money*

4. Every Kind of candy that the store carries
5. Popcorn Balls
6. Miniature toys
7. Cold drinks being passed out in Dixie cups * This was back in the sixties I doubt that anyone does this any more!*

8. Carmel Apples
9. Chips & Pretzels
10. Apples
11. Stickers
12. Toothbrushes from a Dentist
13. Juice Boxes
14. Little Hugs
15. Microwavable Popcorn Packs
16. Pens/Pencils

Any food items need to be in a seal packages with no punctures or tears. Any signs that it may have already been opened. And the parents will toss it in the trash.

Individually sealed packages are very easy to handle and can be passed out very quickly!
