I happened to get home form work early today and I was able to watch a little bit of Oprah. Today Oprah had a guest commentator discussing the physical laws of attractiveness. What is attractive? This lady had it down to a science. She was suggesting there were already some premeditate things already determining what we would look for In a mate. Hmm I had never thought about attractiveness as being a science But I guess it could be. After all If i look at someone and I like their looks.. it is as simple as that. There is no measuring or comparing or calculating that takes place..If I enjoy the package I look...

This science suggests that a lot of attractivenss has to do with symetry, particualar facial symetry. Is your face in three equla patrs? Does your forehead equal the measurement form the tip of your nose to your mouth? Does your bottom of the nose to your chin also equal out? A study was completed at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland on attractiveness. The Golden rule suggests the ratio of the length of the face to the width of the face should be 1.6. Also suggested by the study was that women are more attractive when they are ovulating. So maybe we need to plan our date nights during ovulation? I don't even know when I am ovulating. Ladies make sure you bring protection on these night too, because you know what being extra attractive during you ovulation cycle can lead to! . It sounds like the laws of attractiveness are also following the laws of human nature

Ok so there is some truth to the fact that having an evenly proportioned body and face is makes you attractive to most people. Just look at who we deemed to be attractive in society. Most all of our movie and Television celebrities are evenly proportioned. Even historical and mythical figures we consider to be beautiful or handsome have been evenly proportioned. The Golden Ratio is based on Fibonacci Numbers where every number after the second number is the sum of the previous two numbers computed by adding up numbers. This leads to what is known as the Golden Ratio at 1.6. The Golden Ratio is also found in nature too. Sunflower seeds in their intricate patterns use the golden ratio to form their design. The Golden Ratio has even been applied to architecture

 It is suggested by some other websites the symmetry is being introduced to us through out own DNA.  A Cross section of DNA was taken and applied to the Deacon Matrix.  The Deacon Matrix supports that DNA is symmetrically proportioned.  The Deacon Matrix was also applied to the face, showing how it is symmetrically proportioned with the DNA. Maybe there is more to the science then meet the eye or Phi ;)
