The Sycamore Mineral Springs is one of the nicest lodging options in Avila Beach.  The hotel offers one of the best restaurants on the central coast and offers wine makers dinners on special occasions.  The spa is also a treat.  It has a full service massage and great outdoor hot tubs.  Even if you're not staying at the hotel, it's a nice evening activity to come to the hot tubs and enjoy a soak.

The Avila Beach Lighthouse Suites is located directly across the street from the beach.  This is the newest Avila Beach Hotel to be built since the town has undergone the major reconstruction caused by the oil spill.  My favorite amenity is the pool that is positioned in the front of the hotel with views of the ocean.  It's also walking distance to nearby restaurants.
