When there are so many fruits in the season it would be a shame not to take advantage of what is on offer and incorporate a smoothie into your daily routine. And while it is a legitimate option if your children do not fancy eating fruits much, it can be a healthy choice for the adults as well. You can add a bit of flax seed or a protein supplement, or perhaps a dash of Echinacea that improves the immune system, ginkgo (it is great for the brain and short term memory loss) or ginseng (it helps you recuperate from mental exhaustion). The choices are endless.

50 grams of unsalted natural peanut butter

In a blender combine the banana, apple, kiwi, your choice of berries and orange juice. Mix well, then add yogurt and peanut butter. Mix well again. Serve.

Love the post. I love making smoothies for my daughter. Such a great way to ensure that she is getting all her fruit. I also add a dash of wheat germ and she never notices!
