Subtlety is the most misunderstood and poorly utilized talent tree in World of Warcraft. Most rogues simply do not have the patience to employ the subtlety tree properly, and for this reason, they fail to maximize the power of the talents.
Subtlety is a single-target stunlock tree. Simple as that. If you're planning on wading into a scrum pack of warriors and paladins screaming "for the Horde!" this is not your tree. 1. Initiative: Key to the rest of the tree. A three-point cheap shot is practically a guaranteed perfect stunlock. 2. Hemorrhage: This is important for sustained damage, but not as important as a lot of rogues think. Patience and timing are the key to a subtlety build, not button mashing and burst damage. 3. Preparation: This is probably one of the top five most powerful talents in the game. A skilled subtlety rogue with preparation up is almost invincible for any single class. i'm guessing this was pre-expansion. Prep doesn't reset cloak of noskill.
cooldown on cloak of shadows is only 1 min. anyways

Fuck finally someone that understands and knows how to use sub. Im just startin WoW again after about a year of not playing and sub looks like its better than ever

Sub kinda sucks now no matter how skilled u r.. im 5years of playing sub..
This is for Mace/Sword Rogues. U can try going Combat ( Get blade flurry and adrenaline rush :p)/Sub (up to Hemo, and prep).
I just cheap shot> spam hemo like 3 times> kidney shot> hemo> disarm> blind> then vanish. wait for blind to fade > then repeat the whole thing. Just spam hemo all day if ur mace/ sword spec and if u want, after the second cheap shot use blade flurry and adrenaline rush. U can get like 10 hemo's then do a kidney again :p easy kills
im a subtelty spec'd blood elf rogue, allways have been : ) how can you say no to about 4-5 ambush crits ¬¬ i mean, premeditation, shadowstep, cheap shot or ambush, then shadow dance, ambush or cheap shot ambush ambush arcane torrent ambush evisc. : ) lotsa dps
