In addition to my class title of Shaman, I am also Dr. Lokaine. Medical science is basic in my world, and it has not changed much over time. We have members of the healing classes such as Priests and Shaman, which probably account for the lack of technological advances.

The path to become a Doctor in Azeroth commences with a visit to a First Aid Trainer. In my case, I sought training at the tender level of 7 in the village of Razor Hill. Unfortunately, I do not remember my first trainer's name because my time in Razor Hill was brief.

When I moved to Orgrimmar, I desired to continue my education, so I sought further training with the well-known Arnok, who resides in the Valley of Spirits. Arnok taught me all he knew about the medicinal art, and through his instruction, I achieved the level of "Journeyman."

The day came, however, when Arnok could no longer teach me, and he informed me I would have to study on my own to advance to the level of Expert. He suggested I seek out Balai Lok'Wein in Brackenwall Village to purchase the textbooks which would serve as the basis for subsequent training.

I did as instructed, and I purchased the textbooks, "Expert First Aid - Under Wraps," "Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage" and "Manual: Mageweave Bandage," and I proceeded to work hard to master these two new branches study.

In order to advance to the level of Artisan, I sought out my old teacher, Arnok, who directed me to seek additional training from the renowned Trauma Surgeon, Dr. Gregory Victor, whose teaching hospital is located in the village of Hammerfall.

After fond farewells and preparations were made, I began my journey to the Horde outpost in the lovely, but very dangerous Arathi Highlands. The Arathi Highlands is a resource-rich land, and battles with the Alliance are many.

My training would become more than making bandages. Indeed, I had barely introduced myself to the Doctor and his staff when I was ordered to handle the medical care of incoming patients.

Dr. Victor informed me my performance would be evaluated and would be the determining factor in further training. With minimal direction in the form of "critical" should be healed first, I began to treat the patients who were arriving into the emergency room. Although I was nervous at first, the apprehension quickly dissipated as I began to focus on treating the injured as instructed.

The great Dr. Victor deemed my performance in treating that round of incoming patients a good indicator to proceed further in my training to achieve the highest level of medical healer. After successfully completing the remaining requirements, I achieved the rank of Artisan, level 300, First Aid and the title, Dr. Lokaine.

Dr. Lokaine
